Product Description
The How Sar temporary door lock is a portable and lightweight travel lock for securing doors from the inside of a room. From student accommodation to hotel rooms it secures rooms quickly and simply to give you piece of mind. With no keys or number coeds required you can simply secure a room to stop any unwanted guests from entering.
Product Description
Introducing a portable and universal door lock with a difference - a simple lock for use by all, be it at home, in the workplace or on holiday.Whenever a degree of privacy or security is required, e.g. in hostels, offices and student accommodation, you are not likely to find a more user-friendly lock to suit your purpose. The Quick Lock is made of two simple parts connected by a flexible tie, a slotted receiver and a curved wedge. The receiver fits into the recess in the door frame, where the latch fits. This locates between the door and frame when the door is closed. The curved wedge then slides into the slot in the receiver thus locking the receiver in position and preventing the door from opening. To open the door simply slide the curved hook out of the hole in the plate and open the door.Gold Medal Winner at the International Inventions Show, Geneva, 2006!Silver Medal Winner at the British Inventions Show, London, 2005!FeaturesAlthough not intended to replace permanent locks, the Quick Lock provides an additional basic barrier and deterrent protection against intruders. * Made of durable reinforced nylon - compact, sturdy, lightweight and inexpensive * Simple and quick to install and release in a matter of seconds and no need for any tools * Adaptable to nearly all internal doors * Lock is inaccessible from outside the room - provides tamper proof security * Door will be secure even if someone has the key * Simple, uncomplicated design makes it less prone to fault * Ideal for travellers - small and lightweight with no metal parts to give problems at customs! * Easily carried in pocket or handbag - fits into palm of the hand.

£4.99 & FREE Delivery on orders over £10

So add on item

I thought add-on items were only the ones that you can't actually order at all unless you spend £10? You can order this separately if you pay delivery...

They have a 2 pack for £8.99, free delivery over £10

Not an add on item, as you have to send over £10 to place an order with an add on item.

Might get one of these for all the numpties that don't have a lock on their bathroom door, finally have a crap in peace

Surely if someone pushes hard enough they'd still be able to open the door?

I'm scared, I don't have one

Should have posted this on a Crimewatch night, oos in seconds

would this be good for students

Looking at the product, and reading the reviews, seems more like a privacy aid than a security solution.

It works on doors that open inwards. But in some places I've stayed in Eastern Europe (FSU states), e.g. a hostel in Tallinn, the door opens outwards into the corridor.

No, it would be awful for students.

Tried that. Left kidney was missing in the morning.

Description says "Ideal for travellers"...... do they really have to worry about people breaking in to their caravans ?

its always good for when you want sex!

"With no keys or number coeds required you can simply secure a room to stop any unwanted guests from entering"

Good to know that it can be used without coeds as they always run away from me....

Wonder if you could print one off with a 3D printer if someone modeled one?

why ?

its not an add on item.sooo many people getting confused with Amazon.
add on items are items reduced in price because you HAVE to spend over £10 to qualify for the reduced item.
It also happens that Amazon has free delivery over £10 but this item can be purchased without needing to spend £10 and you would pay delivery. its not an add on item!

Allow me to tell you all a story about Dave.

Dave buys said item.

Dave fits item to door.

Dave has a stroke/seizure/accident/screams in pain and can't move.

Daves family try to get in but can't.

"DAVE? WHATS BLOCKING THE DOOR? WE CANT GET IN DAVE. OPEN THE DOOR"

Dave writhes in agony

"EVEN THE KEY AINT WORKING DAVE. DOOR IS STUCK. HANG ON IN THERE DAVE"

Dave takes his last breath.

Dave dies.

Moral of the story:

This item is a health and safety risk.

Cold.

RIP Dave, our thoughts are with you

Ha ha, I like it when it gets silly. I will happily join in. Dave buys a spoon. Dave has some kind of accident/incident/condition and rams the spoon down his throat and sadly dies. Spoons are a health and safety risk. Hot.
