Hoxton Hotel's £1 Room Sale
The 31st October at 12pm (UK Time) marks the official start of our next £1 sale.

Once again we will have 1,000 bedrooms up for grabs on our website: 500 at £1 and 500 at £29, for dates between the 1st November 2008 31st January 2009

During the last sale in July, we sold all 1,000 rooms within 11 minutes and had over 300,000 people trying to book so you'll need to be quick... If you dont manage to get a room at either £1 or £29, there are some other great deals available including:

Rooms on Christmas Eve and Christmas Day for just £59.
Other rates over the Festive period for just £79.
All Fridays and Saturdays in January for just £59.
Rooms for February and March from just £30.

We try to make the sale as fair as possible and you are only allowed to book one room, for one night at a £1 if we find anyone misbehaving they will lose all their bookings.

If you are lucky and manage to find an available room, you must complete a series of 5 steps before you can have the room. During the time it takes you to complete each step there could be another 100,000 people trying to book the same room, so you have to be quick. To help make the process easier and to try and reduce confusion we have provided a "How to book" guide (see below), highlighting step-by-step what you have to do to try and get a room. Good luck

What do you mean by future deals arent allowed?

A dummy question... Is 12PM actually midnight or noon?

What does the Xbox 360 have to do with hoxton hotel deals? And to whom is it not allowed, in the future and for what reasons? Please be clear :-D

since when arent future deals not allowed

that is probably the most dumb rule iv ever heard of on this site

they want us to post this deal at 12.01pm when at 12.15 all the rooms will be sold out?!

downfall of this site could be near if such rules are implemented

iv got tons and tons of deals via future deal post

future deal as in a sale which will go live in the future

e.g on 31st oct there will be a deal in a store, 50% of toys

basically they want us to stop giving future deals- very poor idea

many people will lose out

It's just another of the many 'rules' on here that stop people getting bargains. This place is a god unto itself.

That would make the mods priests. They don't seem to virtuous to me!:whistling:
Choirboy anyone?!:w00t:

Can anyone advise us how this works in practice? I've never managed to catch a sale before, let along get a room. Can you try alternative dates if they don't have it for the date you want? And can you book 2 nights, i.e. one at the offer price, the other at whatever the going rate is, at the same time? Thanks.

I give up - I've managed to select dates, enter the last 4 digits of my credit card - then advance to another screen where you enter your full details (name, address, credit card, etc) only to be told that my reservation was not successful............... -so, I don't get a room, but they're managed t collect all my personal information?

great for those who managed to successfully book a room, but worrying for those like myself. a bit dodgy that they cannot confirm a reservation BEFORE entering your credit card.

Yep - same here - suckered again

has anyone managed to book one yet??

All Gone

not impressed, it took 7 mins for the screen after the timer to appear - and my computer is usually very quick! tried a variety of dates but no luck! I wonder how many people actually got through? I won't vote cold but if noone got through then freezing! :x

I booked a room in December for £29, I didnt even attempt to get a £1 room as knew they would go instantly.

that what I tried but no joy!:cry:

you win some you lose some x

It IS possible to get a room for £1, but seems like it's sold out again in record time.

I might be hated for this, but this is the 4th time I've been successful getting a £1 room (one per sale, I hasten to add).

I managed to get a £1 room at 12:22. I was just about to give up because of the slow flash thingy. Then they changed the link at the front page to a one that was html, and it worked like a charm. At that point all the £29 rooms were already gone.
