Hozelock 20m Hose + Hosebox £14.97 at Tesco

Found 27th May 2012
Was about to purchase the Tesco 20m hose reel set & connectors for £15 yesterday (to go with my new Karcher pressure washer-cost £20, after using my clubcard vouchers+ got 1000 points)! as I walked to checkout noticed a massive box randomly placed away from other hose/reels filled with the Hozelock hoseboxes -a lot more sturdier than Tesco ones, were priced up at £19.99 (or £19.97 cant remember)........Went throught till at £14.97, what a Bargain! (£19.96 online)

The Hozelock 20m hose box is the neat and tidy way of keeping your flowers and plants watered. The 20m long hose is completely enclosed into a compact, lightweight circular container with a convenient carrying handle, so it can be stored out of harm’s way when not required. Included with the Hozelock 20m hose box are all necessary connectors and a hose nozzle.

Yes I know.......hosepipe bans in areas..........Plus sceptical 'Anti- Tesco store specific deal' keyboard warriors.......,what the hell did think twice before posting deal, but it's a gorgous day & I'm sure there will be someone out there like me after a good branded hose at a decent price. Check out your store...labelled as £19.99 but scanning at £14.97. Receipt available for those requiring proof....but will have to wait, I'm off to enjoy the sunshine & use my new hose pipe!!!

tesco are awful for there prices as one store is different to another
tesco are also awful for having the same stock in both stores

I used £40 clubcard vouchers(doubled up) worth £80 with current promotion, hence paid £19 & got 1000 clubcard points too

Hot UKDeals

I don't know of any hosepipe ban in Scotland, what about Wales and NI? Ban in most of he country my back side.

Is it a good price for a hosepipe in a reel? Yes.
Oh no someone had their one leak, issue a recall. My car has a faulty electric window, does that make all Ford Focus models bad? No.
Agree with oneday77 re the hosepipe ban. no ban here in Wales - we've had a lot of rain, especially in april of this year.

I thought you were too busy enjoying the sunshine and your new hose. Stop posting here and get outside and wash a car or something!

No good if you have a hosepipe ban is it?

We are still using a watering can for the garden.

In fact most of the country does not have a hosepipe ban. Geography lesson - 'the country' is not the same as the south east.
Yep, I've had Hoselock with internal leaks - they basically put a cheap plastic plate to cover where the hose comes into the reel, and use 2 tiny screws, so any pressure allows water to easily bypass this plate, and leak - bad design, so expect them all to leak sooner or later.
Ahhh swollox! Just paid £78 for a 30 metre one.

It does auto rewind though and although it is a great feature, I'm not sure the extra 10 metres and rewind are worth the extra £64+
How did u get 1000 extra points when buying the karcher washer? its out of stock online with no sign of 1000 points.
Hot for this deal though!
I have one of these. It does leak and is a pain to reel back in correctly so that it doesn't tangle. I'm forever opening the cover to fix the darn thing!

Welll.... now you come to mention it... my Ford Focus also has a faulty electric window, so if this is the start of a trend then the answer to your last question might actually be "Yes", but your point still stands

Aren't Scotland, Wales and NI different countries (assuming the other people were referring to England)??

Although I don't think most of England has a hosepipe ban now either just us in the SE

You are correct Scotland, England, Wales and NI are all seperate countries. However as this is UK deals and it is a very common annoyance to the colonies that UK and England are interchangeable terms my statement is correct. Even if we nit pick and say England was the subject, most of the 'Country' doesn't have a ban.

Even if you consider England as the UK - sonething we complain about Americans, its only parts of the south that are affected by the ban
Returned mine to Wilko's and instead bought a virtually identical one (that does not leak) from tesco for £15 (delivered to store too).

AND, the Tesco one has a wall bracket that you simply hang the hose reel on thus good for winding up and means you can really easily take it off and move it if you need to.

Karcher only uses half a bucket worth of water. Much less than a hose on a tap. I hozelock mine to a waterbutt anyhow. Motor creates cleaning pressure. Very frugal with water.
