Clearly your post is a newer and better quality model tho!
Heat added. Not for me though. Want the auto-reel one but can't justify £100, £60 is my limit

I paid about £19 3 years ago! It does the job ! Just be careful not to kink the hose! Goes without saying!

I have one of those and I don't rate it. When you wind the handle the whole thing moves, so you have to try and hold the hose reel down with one hand (or maybe a foot) and winding with another.
Heat from me. Have this: indeed OK but not super fantastic. Just my experience.

Indeed, it is not "hassle free manual rewinding" as described.

I do the old 'wrap around the tap' trick, I think the reels are a nightmare!

I replaced my 3yr old auto reel for this model last week. The mechanism on the auto reels fails with age and it gets harder and harder to stop it from reeling the hose in. The manual is much better for me.
Had one of these for 3 years. Decent quality hose and I'm happy with it. You can fix the winding handle on the right or left hand side but be aware that once it's on, you can't change your mind as once it's on, it doesn't come off again.
Ive had the manual only version for 4+ years. One gripe is the connectors. When winding it in or pulling it out, the connector to the reel forces itself out. I tried changing the connector with another hozelock connector but same result. Maybe too much water pressure from the garden tap, but it ALWAYS results in a big mess with water everywhere.
