Total garbage! it's more costly on Amazon, but you're much better off with the Ultra Metal version. Can be picked up in fleabay for little more than the cheap plastic rubbish above.

Bitter experience with Hozelock plastic tells me you're right. Doesn't last long, does it?

I have sheds load full of Hozelock, all of which I feel are no better than cheaper ones.Amongst other things I have had 4 water guns all of which have either leaked or split, they are not happy about being dropped onto a hard surface. I have now decided to buy cheap and cheerful,,Aldi, Lidl, Poundland, Wilkos.I also had a full metal one which also failed to work properly through all of the sprinkler options.

Having now checked out some of the reviews, I doubt the metal ones are actually much better than the plastic ones. The metal body's fine - but the rest of it, including the trigger mechanism (which is the part that often fails or breaks) is still plastic.

For its price, Hozelock stuff should last a lot longer than it does - but then, it's in their own interests not to make it last more than a year or two, isn't it?

Excellent price... ordered one. Ta AL
