Designed with an AMD Ryzen 5 processor, 8GB RAM, a 14” Full HD display and a 256GB Solid State Drive, the HP 14-dk0011na laptop provides portability, along with stylish looks. You’ll be able to complete work assignments, stream shows and check out your favourite web pages.

AMD Ryzen 5
With an AMD Ryzen 5 processor, you'll easily handle day-to-day tasks like word processing, image editing, web browsing and some casual gaming.

What is RAM?
RAM (Random Access Memory) is different to the permanent storage provided by hard disk drives (HDD), solid state drives (SSD) or memory cards in your equipment. RAM is used by your device to temporarily store data to carry out everyday operations. The more RAM your machine has, the faster you can expect it to open and run programs.

A solid performer
Featuring 8GB of RAM, this computer has enough power for casual tasks like web browsing and word processing as well as more demanding jobs like complex spread sheets and image manipulation. You'll be able to run a healthy number of windows at once without any obvious lag or slowdown.

Solid State Drive
Solid State Drives (SSD) give you the capacity to store your documents and media, while ensuring quicker and reliable access to your files and programs. SSDs are far faster than regular hard drives and ingeniously, they don't use moving parts to work, which makes them far more dependable and also quieter.

Radeon Vega 8 graphics
AMD's Radeon Vega 8 graphics processing unit (GPU) will enable you to enjoy a number of classic older games, along with some casual (web-based) gaming. You may be able to run more modern titles with reduced effects and frame rates.

Great entertainment
Thanks to its 14”, Full HD screen, viewing your high resolution photos, films and videos will be a pleasure. It has been designed to convey immersive images and it makes for a great casual gaming and multimedia experience.

Connecting your other devices
The USB ports allow for fast data transfer, while the HDMI port enables the option for large screen presentations. The SD card slot offers a convenient way to upload your photos and videos. Additionally, Bluetooth can help to send data wirelessly between devices.

Screen beam
Miracast technology enables you to project your device’s screen onto your Miracast enabled television.

To enable Miracast functionality, press the Windows button + P (at the same time) on your keyboard and then click on ‘Connect to a wireless display’.

This is a great way to view pictures or websites on a larger screen, however please note: your videos might stutter or suffer with lag.

thanks for info. the hunt goes on
The is the entry-level HP series. Expect the bezel to break within a year. Or the keys to come off.
Been there before for the specs, only to be disappointed by the poor built down the line.

Black plastic HP's are horrible. Trackpad breaks down very easily and then it does not right click or left click . Made of cheap recycled plastic.

What are you talking about? Is there any new laptop with thunderbolt for less than £500?

Dont say you have got something used for £150, makes absolutely no sense.

It is Sam of London. What did you expect? All he can say is "cold", "thunderbolt", "5G" and "too expensive". He seems to want the latest tech for effectively nothing. Don't expect to get anything sensible out of him. I would love to see this new laptop, from Ebay, for £150 that he is imagining.
I have a similar laptop as a work laptop and it is pretty good, quite impressed with Ryzen 5 processor. Track pad is a bit poor but I tend to use a mouse so not a problem. Had it for 12 month and I don’t believe our EUS department has had many failures (we bought a few 100 for our windows 10 testing).
I'd choose another brand - Lenovo or Acer for similar price than this. I bought an HP with AMD processor last year and the laptop runs very poorly - battery life is dreadful - I get maximum of 2 and half hours just with web browsing and the laptop is heavy. It has been sitting unused for best part of 6 months.

The Acer Nitro costs £540 and has a proper gaming graphics card hotukdeals.com/dea…177

The Lenovo costs £404 hotukdeals.com/dea…162

The Acer Swift costs £400 hotukdeals.com/dea…216

IPS screen and 3 year warranty are highlights. Shame the SSD isn't NVMe and HPs at this price point do tend to be a bit flimsy. At least you're covered for the 1st 3 years!
