Why cold? I was considering this for my daughter, is it not any good for £250?
I only posted it a few minutes ago so maybe it will get higher, I thought it was good for the price

It got to over 250c when it was posted for 299 so surely should heat up

For £250, I think it's a great deal, I don't believe that you or your daughter would be disappointed with it, especially if it's for school work or you tube and the likes.
Which store was it?

How old is your daughter? If she is of school age then this should be a fine laptop for doing the basics - surfing, some written work, apparently has a DVD player but perhaps she is too young for them - lol.

For £250 it is worth a try. You could buy it, have a play for it for a few hours to see if it is fast enough, does the stuff you like and if not then perhaps you could return it. Otherwise, it might be a fab buy for £250.

Read the description but didn’t notice any specs for the processor, that will be the biggest deciding factor

A6 processor? I'd rather scoop my own eyeballs out with a plastic spoon...
support.hp.com/gb-…081 full specs of the laptop.

Alternatively there are other laptops similar priced larger screen, better processor with SSD storage. ebuyer.com/835…puk. Granted the Laptop is only 128GB. But at £249.99 its expected to be. Atleast it isnt a 32gb emmc laptop. Also anything thats competitively priced with a Pentium N4200 is gonna perform similarly to the a6/a9-9***
