Sounds great till you need to use Word or Powerpoint

On your Chromebook, you can open, edit, download and convert many Microsoft® Office files, such as Word, PowerPoint or Excel files

I got the N3350 version of this from the US with a touchscreen for $110, (open-box but mint.) and was quite impressed by the build quality, keyboard, touchpad and battery life. I wouldn't pay this much for the non touch version though. Cold from me.
Dual core.
720p....
It's cheap but just get a better model
Prepare to hear "Oh you have a chrome book? This software only works on Windows" a lot.
I liked the one of these I bought refurb a year or so ago, but as above the limitations of a 720p screen (as I use remote desktop a lot) was eventually the killer for me. Upgraded to a full HD Asus C523 a couple of months ago and wish if done it earlier.

Tbh, at this price it's unlikely you'll get more than dual core. However, it is possible to get something like an Acer 314 with the newer N4000 chips for around £230 when they're in stock. These AMD chips are pretty much bottom of the pile with the N3350s not vastly better.

Or just go to Office.com and use the Office apps there.

Or better still, dump Micro$oft altogether, and use Google Docs.

Use the android app versions!
I wouldn't be paying anywhere near this price for one of these especially open box. Right now, I'd never pay more than £125 new max.
AMD processor is weak compared to intel N3350, non touchscreen display too.

Avoid with the proverbial 10 foot bargepole

Google docs still does not even have multiple page view! -

Why the $ in Microsoft? Do Google not make obscene amounts of cash too?

Agreed Alan. What I do though, is view the same document many times in many tabs. I find this better as all the tabs are live and editable.

Yes, pity Google doesn't have an $ in there name.

I have an ultra-wide so I can natively see five pages in view at normal size - so although that is a solution - just normal multi-page would be better!

I don't think your wrong Alan, but you are a bit of a niche user. Not many have your setup.

I can hardly imagine anything worse than n3350, this chip can't even handle 1080p60 youtube, surely this a4 must be better and according to benchmarks it is.

Fair enough - marginally better than the 3350 according to passmark. Still pretty poop.
Tight budget but we need a laptop just for homeschooling, would this suffice?

The Mrs lives in the USA, so when I see something online, I just send her an email saying Buy, Buy, Buy.
