Bought new on ebay for only £300 from private seller. Voted hot as this one comes with John Lewis warranty while mine does not. Better than buying Intel with all Intel legacy cpu vulnerabilities like Smiler, Spoiler, Sceptre, Computrace, ME, VISA, NSA holes etc. Better graphics as well compared to Intel

Looks like JL tech spec might have a typo "AMD Radeon RX Vega 3"
According to this HP spec for the cm0011na the graphics card is "AMD Radeon™ Vega 8 Graphics"

IPS screen; USB 3.1 Gen 1; 8GB, 256 SSD. RYZEN 5, Vega 8. 2YJLW - pretty good deal I'd say.
Any other opinions on this lappy please ?

I took a lot of advice from someone pretty knowledgeable before choosing this one. There are Lenovos which are great value for money but they have adware pre installed and as a result some experts recommend avoiding Lenovo.
I was going to buy it at £549.99 today, so was delighted when they dropped the price.
The John Lewis tech advisor also recommended it.
Cheers swattie

Adware and bloatware ready to bin off

Yeah saw that but the quidco didn't work so think I prefer the JL one

I did see it, but have heard such poor reports about Curry's tech support and customer service, I'd prefer to go with John Lewis with it's 2 year warranty.

That's ok but I think this is still too pricey. Has been cheaper from AO previously.

Is the ram dual channel?
It's been at this price for the past 6+ weeks. I have posted it a while ago. Worth a reminder though

It may have been that price in Feb when you posted, but sometime after that date it went up to £549.99, which it was on-line on 9th April when I started looking at laptops. When I went in store on 10th the ticket price was £549.99, but the assistant noticed the price had dropped overnight when checking stock levels. I was just glad I hadn't ordered it on-line the day before. Although JL has a pricing policy that if the price drops within 28 days of purchase they will refund the difference, so I will keep monitoring the price for the next 4 weeks.

Is this the best £500 or below laptop deal around at the minute? If so, I'll order.

Otherwise, if there is another option, can you please advise. I need one asap.

Thanks in advance,
