This deal is expired. Here are some options that might interest you:

Good spec for the price (if you use the £30 voucher).

Includes 1 year of Microsoft Office and 1TB of cloud storage (OneDrive for 1 year).

I believe it's an IPS screen but can't find confirmation.

similar to the Lenovo 330s deal, however this has a 512gb compared to Lenovo’s 256gb, well worth the price difference, could game on this machine if you wanted to
Rarely get a 512 HD at this price.
When this was posted here in August it was stated it is an IPS screen.

Just google "HP 14-dk0008na specs"
and choose the hp support link - easily done for any hp where you have the -dk... model code
Yes - it is
IPS, & it's
512GB and it's
AMD Ryzen™ 5 3500U with Radeon™
Vega 8 Graphics and it's
a deal at £400
IMO far better graphics than the Intel U620 rubbish (which I have)

Smaller than the previous Lenovo 330S, slightly better spec but probably built worse. HP build quality on these plastic chassis is pants, I had a few pass through my hands and they crack very easily. Flimsy around the ports and the keyboard. What can ya expect though for the price.

It's a good deal for £400 and would give a decent account of itself for everyday computing.
OP should put IPS in the title for those looking on a phone.
Any one know if the keyboard is backlit
OP should replace 3rd Gen with 3500U so that we know its the more powerful Ryzen 5
ticks most of my boxes except its a 14" screen

Keep an eye on this one, £50 more for 15 inch touchscreen model, was even cheaper yesterday with PICKME5 code on eBay.

IPS and NVMe ssd. Cool (but its HP). The Ebay one is more expensive because there's no voucher, but that could all change if/when Ebay puts up a -20% code .... :-)
Just bought. Thanks OP
Also worth a mention. After completing purchase I was given the option of £20 off AO voucher or free next day delivery if I took a phone call from AO to discuss care packages. I agreed, took call, told them I wasn't interested with any care package and the bloke promised I'd get a £20 off AO voucher after my laptop had been delivered. I will use this as we're also after a new washer and also a new fridge freezer from AO. So possibly, £20 less than the £399 I paid for the laptop
If you want a more expensive one the currys zenbook is selling for 550 (+30 quid cashback altought thay might have changed now), same processor. Pricier but certainly far better build quality and very premium looking.

That’s an all aluminium body with backlit keyboard and excellent screen and speakers. You do pay a bit extra for the nicer features I guess
Would this be on a par with the Acer Nitro 5 AN515-42 that's also on sale at AO? hotukdeals.com/dea…715
Anyone able to confirm if you can add additional Ram to this? Thanks
How does it compare to the other one posted here: hotukdeals.com/dea…735

The SSD appears bigger in this deal 512GB, the one in my link has 256GB

Other than that, they the same?
Really good that this has a great CPU and an IPS screen. Far too many deals on here that lack IPS.
Which would be better as both look very similar? This or the ASUS VivoBook 15 ryzen 3500u 8GB RAM, 256GB SSD, 15.6" Full HD, Slate Grey £398.95

Depends what you want it for. If it's soley for gaming on, then I'd say no. If it's for everyday use, eg watching video, playing lower end games at lower settings, using Photoshop, surfing the web etc, then I'd say yes as it will handle all of that easily. It should be a fast laptop with the ram, processor and fair sized SSD. Even though it's for my 13 year old, who'll use it mainly for graphic design school and homework, I'd proudly own it as my everyday laptop. Hope this helps

Thanks
6% topcashback and quidco but doubt you could use it with the code above.
Now £399 without using any code so TCB may work?
For anyone who wants to buy an extended warranty, a 3 year care pack (Part No U4819E) is now £41.65 at HP, using HPBLACK.
Does anyone no if there is any alternative AO code that could bring this down in price as the BF code has expired?
