Is that a Chromebook though?
No touchscreen, no FPS, overweight, overpriced - nice though

Yep, personally I'd go for the 14" X360 I3 for £50 less
Im after a decent 15.6"..seeming that we might be in isolatn for long
Why so expensive, a windows 10 laptop would be cheaper than this and a full SSD, not e-mmc

Supply and demand but but bear in mind the equivalent Windows machine would run like a dog in comparison

Hardly. That's a respectable spec. Chrome should fly but an i5 Windows 10 laptop is fairly speedy, especially if it had a proper SSD. I should know, I have one.

At same price point, CBs usually offer better build, battery life, keyboard and trackpad, portability

For £500 or so however, you can find a few really good Windows machines. Not the case at £400 or less

What you appear not to know though is what "in comparison" means as your example illustrates my point

Not really. I'd agree with slower, but "runs like a dog" is very inaccurate hyperbole. Noone is going to be disatisfied with an i5, especially when it would actually cost less than this but keep up fairly well.

Maybe, but I doubt from HP.
Can someone recommend some decent i5 laptops then pls

Lol, that's exactly my point and you actually agreed without realising it, choosing to only quote part of what I said to take it out of context and fit your argument just makes you look a bit silly.

x360 line is lovely, still regret not buying i7, 16gb ram when under £500 in Laptop Outlet...(old model)

With you on that one, most 'i' based chromebooks have virtually identical siblings just tweaked to whichever OS they are sold with.

I'm not sure what you're reading but it's not what has actually been said. You described i5 Windows laptops as running like a dog. They don't, even in comparison, it's pretty simple. You look like a troll, but y'know...

Let it be peace, I think @b1g1an meant that i5 will run much faster on Chrome OS. Roughly speaking, an i3 CB will run like an i7 on W10. Power users need 8gb ram on Chrome OS, 16gb on W10 unless discrete graphics. Kinda roughly speaking. Chrome OS lighter and better multitasking, less demanding on resources - including battery, but less versatile software-wise

Just write 'i5 laptop' in search box and you should get plenty of good deals, filter by heat and those usually the best, like

The only thing being worse than a pedant, is being one who is wrong.

I'm not going to argue with you any further. Clearly your nickname shows you're insecure. I can guarantee my English is better than yours. You can't understand what hyperbole means for starters or you'd know you were wrong.

Nice that you said you've finally accepted your mistake and weren't going to try to argue otherwise but a shame that only lasted as far as the second paragraph. I can assure you that, unlike yours, my dictionary doesn't have pictures in.

Either way, your obviously never going to get there, and have some serious personal issues to address, so I'll let you carry on by yourself, feel free to spout some more rubbish if you really feel you need to have the final word.
