seems like a decent spec for around £300 (or £319 once you have the additional spend authorised ). You can get a £10 discount off a £100 plus spend with O2 Priority if you are on O2 or know someone that is:

SPECIFICATION
Processor - AMD A8-6410 APU
- Quad-core
- 2 GHz
- 2 MB cache
Memory (RAM) 8 GB DDR3L
Storage 1 TB HDD, 5400 rpm

I think except for the large hard disk and more RAM (seems to be 8GB max).. then Lenovo looks better value.
hotukdeals.com/dea…079 ... have to be quick though for the cashback.

Interesting that Ebay have this laptop refurb for less though.

I have this laptop, excellent product for the money.
I use it everyday and never had a problem.

Buy it you wont be disappointed at that price considering I paid £379 6 months ago.

i3 better than this?

i was also wondering this. does anyone have any comparison of the i3 to A8?

If you are a normal everyday user, this will do fine, and at a price point to suite most pockets. The specs will make win8 run smooth and allow you to do everyday tasks such as web browsing, email, offic and photos/videos etc....

For £300 this represents good value

A8 is better at handling graphics than i3 but worse on power usage, slightly.... In terms of raw power it's slightly faster (a8)

its crazy that you need a quad core with 8gb to run basic stuff smoothly....my old pentium 4 did all of this running xp with only 1gb ....untill it died!
