Not an AMD fan at this price level . Much rather have an I5 at this sort of money .

Please- opinions on amd vs i5/ i7? I've been shopping for an Intel, haven't even considered an amd.

At this price point it really makes no difference having an AMD

intel is better but for the specs this looks very good for the money. if you wanted an i5 with these specs then add a lot more cash on top.

nothing wrong with AMD either, this laptop IMO will be too powerful for the average user as it is.

if your a heavy photo shop or encoding user then you shouldn't be looking at bargain bin laptops, people that make these buy intel statements are sheep.

is it powerful enough for your needs? then buy it, simple as that

capable of gaming on low or medium settings ? older titles mostly steam games that are 99p to £2.00 ?

as well as raw Image editing ? and video editing is this going to manage or struggle ?

I don't use it for gaming, or watching movies/ entertainment purposes. I tend to have many applications/ tabs open at once, so need a fast processor and memory. I would like to be as future proof as possible, and would spend up to 6/700 quid. I would never want Apple.

I have an Intel Pentium processor (1.8GHz) and can do everything you wish to. Although I do experience slowdowns sometimes, it's not too bad. Therefore, I think you'd be fine with either, provided you have enough RAM (4GB is standard, but the more you have, the better - this particular laptop has 8GB, which is fine)

if only it wasn't purple....

Works for me on my laptop. If you can't find it, just type in the model name and it should come up

Hi guys I am looking for a laptop for uni and I need to run loads of programmes at one time, I also want to watch youtube without buffering and watch HD movies, price under 500 mark, any suggestions??
I wanted ideally intel 5 or 7. I have found this laptop which meets my specs http://www.currys.co.uk/gbuk/computing/laptops/laptops/hp-pavilion-15-p089na-beats-special-edition-15-6-touchscreen-laptop-red-black-10019152-pdt.html
however I think im paying a lot because it has 'beats' which I dont care about.
Also I am a bit weary of AMD as I dont know anything about it.
Whats the difference between 1366*789 resolution and 1920*1080. is it a big difference. Also is there any way I could find out the battery life, the GZ and mb on the processor of the other laptop you mentioned earlier currys.co.uk/gbu…tml?awc=1599_1409517807_cb5b236bff0233a71c61f95f1db4ae5a&srcid=369&xtor=AL-1&cmpid=aff~HotUKDeals~Communities%20%26%20UGC&istCompanyId=bec25c7e-cbcd-460d-81d5-a25372d2e3d7&istItemId=qqpxmxaq&istBid=t#packs.

Is it really worth paying an extra 150 for the beats laptop over the over one.

Does thst deal still exist? It states above it expired? Then states underneath reduced price? Wen you click on go to offer the price goes up to 379? This is confusing?

It says it is £379 on the website, whereas my deal stated it was £349. Therefore, the deal has expired and is no longer available.

i want to know how long the battery last when in use

It hasn't expired the guy in of world said they put the wrong price tag on it

And average battery time is 4 hours
