Wow it's amazing how much more reasonably priced monitors are becoming over recent months.

This one has a 1ms response time though so you'd only be a fool to buy this one if you're primary use is video or image production. If you're gaming this one is the less foolish.
Technically not G-Sync. While it can utilise G-Sync using G-Sync compatible option in Nvidia control panel it isn't even on the official Supported list so performance may not be great. It will also require a GPU that can use G-Sync Compatible mode. Series 10 and higher if I remember correctly. G-Sync compatible mode only works over DP too.

I also have a monitor that can work with G-Sync compatible mode. While others say it works at 144hz mine doesn't. To use G-Sync compatible I have to drop my max refresh rate to 120hz.

So as that monitor doesn't actually have the G-Sync hardware nor is it on the official supported list it's G-Sync ability may be different per device.

Edit Is on the approved G-Sync Compatible list. I checked old version. The fact that is G-Sync compatible means owners need a10 series Geforce GPU to use it and DP

Think you have this wrong bud this monitor is listed as g-sync compatible on the Nvidia offical list.
Anyone know the freesync range on this?

G-sync compatible isn't the same as G-sync. My 980ti wouldn't be able to take advantage of this but it would be able to a normal g-sync monitor

You need a 10 series and above GPU to take advantage of g-sync compatible.

Exactly, which is one of the reasons why gsync and gsync compatible are not the same thing.

Though now I see you were only disagreeing about it being on the supported list.

They both eliminate screen tearing so yes they are the same thing if you have the right GPU.

Personally I'd choose the AOC as its an ips.

thanks compared against an old list. Fact it's G-sync compatitle and not G-Sync still has things to consider though

AOC by a mile, no idea why they deleted my comment from earlier.

48-144Hz on both DisplayPort and HDMI.
So does 1ms really make much difference over 4ms if you're playing something like Overwatch at 144hz?
For anyone looking at this, I have viewsonic 144hz monitor that is £152 on amazon. I believe it's the best value 144hz monitor on the market, very good quality
Would you recommend this or a BenQ xl2430 as can pick one up in clearance at a local shop for simalar price? Thanks
