Whats freedos OS?

It is a free version of DOS-like system (command line based mainly).
Basically the term is a "modern marketing" phrase to replace "operating system is not included".
It’s a good deal for someone who can install and activate windows 10 themselves for very small amounts of money
I'd mention SSD in the title...
Random point, but has anyone noticed how the photo they overlay on the screen can have a massive impact on how good a laptop looks online? Only really noticed it on here after looking at countless deals! Sunset photos seem to make everything look better. Random pointless comment but just felt the urge to share it.

Seems it at least has a 2nd slot so you could add another SODIMM to double up in dual channel, or replace the existing one with 2 slightly faster modules (it supports 2666MHz).

This laptop also apparently supports NVME drives. The processor will likely be the limiting factor, but at least you can improve the drive/RAM performance for not too much money.
This is a very good price for the specs, doubt it you can get anything better for such a price. Voted hot!
How's the build quality? I am looking to get a cheap travel laptop
I'm looking for a light laptop for everyday use that plays casual games like The Sims, what do you guys think?
I bet this would be good with a free version of Linux ?

Stretch to a Ryzen 5 if you want to game.

I don’t think that any laptop these days can be used as travel. The build quality on most of them under 600 price is terrible. Flimsy beyond impossible . Display basically doesn’t have support. Thin metal frame and thin plastic cover. If you have HDD, again- basically nothing there to protect it, so it will likely fail soon. Especially- if you have ones whith hdd located right side of the touchpad- that’s the place usually people use to pick up laptop, putting pressure right on spinning hard drive. Last one goes for HP laptops with no optical drive...

I can't agree with that, couple weeks ago I've bought lenovo 330s with i3 8th gen in it on amazon when it was just over £250 and I was very impressed with build quality. Laptop is very basic but on the other hand very good for a school pc for my kid sister, low spec didn't matter she will be mostly browsing Web, using word or PowerPoint at the moment. I was very impressed how sturdy is the case of 330s, I have seen some lenovo 155/145 and bunch of cheap HP laptops 8n curry's and all of them felt flimsy, when lifted by corner you could fill whole body warping, palm rests where bending under pressure while typing fast etc... But non of that happened with 330s. That's why I am asking about real life experience with this one as we never know it may surprise us

Whats freedos OS?

Basically it's free version of the base OS before Windows became fully fledged. A text based shell that's more or less useless these days.

Not sure about Vega APU support.

Also is this a real top deal and worth paying the price for the specs?
Is this still a good deal if you want to add and buy windows 10 for it?

I'd say it is a good deal still (without OS) for a new laptop.

And as @ReflexReact said, for someone who doesn't need windows (because prefers ie Linux) or have windows from elsewhere (ie. OEM version).
Any (compatible) OS can be installed it's up to the user what they expect to use it for.

If I were to buy something from this area for myself it would be an Intel procesor and 16GB. However they are £300-400 range when found on the good deal so a bit more pricey.

£18 for an extra 4GB. Interesting
Will this laptop play any games? Fortnite? games a couple of years old?
How much for windows 10 to add to this?
Amazing price!
Is the processor any good i normally go with Intel?
Great price and good quality I believe.

About £85 for a official OEM copy, next to nothing if you're not bothered by legitimacy (ebay/amazon marketplace/google search).

It's 'okay'. Ryzen 5 is a better mid-range spec.
