Just sent one back brilliant spec, but issue with mine was speed of WiFi over 5ghz wasn't working correctly even hp tech via remotely couldn't fix the issue, shame. Plus it has a Realtek WiFi adapter which is why.

I was looking at this last week from Ebuyer and I'm sure it was a tenner cheaper than this. I know we can't travel backwards in time but it might be worthwhile watching and waiting because it might go back down to £299.95 or even lower.
I wonder if it's gone up to account for the 10% code off eBay.
Listed by Ebuyer on eBay for £330 + delivery which, with 10% off, would be £301 or thereabouts.
I'm not too keen after reading some reviews but might be a goer if I can find some info on screen quality after it's been available for a while longer.
Looks half decent for my daughter who needs something this size to watch Netflix in the bath, as her Toshiba didn't survive being submerged in the suds. Kids, eh!

It was £299.98, then around may day bank holiday it went up to £359.98.

Then other day was £299.98.

My review, speed over LAN was great, over WiFi 5ghz poor (I need perfect speed as I test network equipment) it should be capable of faster speeds of what I get from my ISP but couldn't achieve anywhere near and my Samsung S8 can get faster than what it was capable of.

After setup it booted up within around 10 seconds, speakers was fine, the laptop case is all plastic, the keyboard has a good travel and nice to use.

The display the blacks aren't black and it's a little dull but not bad, I only used the laptop for 4 hours as 2 of them I was remotely connected to HP to try resolve the WiFi 5ghz speed issue unfortunately couldn't be fixed.

Due to ebuyer stalling a replacement I changed it to have a refund which I'm still waiting for and returned it over a week ago.

Personally due to their returns department incompetence I will no longer purchase from Ebuyer.

HP hasn't even got this laptop listed om their store as HP said I could get it from them directly.

So I still await refund or section 75 will be filed
Are there any better deals for a laptop around this price range at the moment? Seems pretty good to me but I don't know much about laptops

What is the 10% code for ebay?
if it`s pricecut, it`s expired.
Plus there is a £3-99 delivery charge.

Their is the Lenovo but bit higher in price, again screen is dull, depends if your wanting a IPS display.

Even though it can say on some laptops 1080p, HD, FHD, SVA does not mean they are IPS.

Minefield buying laptop I've been looking for 2 months now from laptops direct, itzoo, scan, box, Curry's, very, John Lewis, Dell outlet, Lenovo website, HP website.

With hearing some bad reviews on refurbished ones has halted my search, some expensive ones don't even have ethernet ports these days another minus for me, I know you can get a usb to ethernet but the usb gave to be 3.0.

At this rate I'll be waiting for black Friday deals

Think there's one live on 7th or 10th June - PAPA10 or something. It's been posted on here as I saw it yesterday and Ebuyer is one of the included sellers. My estimate of £301 was with 10% off plus delivery.
PAPA10 doesn`t work today.
I`ll give it a try tomorrow.

Buying a laptop is all about compromise, price and specs.
I`ve always bought Dell and never had any trouble.
To get the same spec as this HP on a Dell, you`re talking about £500 and it`s still a TN panel.

I said the next laptop I bought would have to have minimum a 256GB SSD, 8GB RAM, and full HD 1920x1080.
The above fits the bill and for the spec is the cheapest I`ve seen recently.(it did go to £275 on Ebay, Ebuyershop for about an hour a couple of weeks ago according to one poster, but I didn`t see it)

This video is worth looking at for the above HP.

Just had a look on Ebuyer Express Shop on eBay. £330 plus change plus £3.99 delivery as I stated previously.
The PAPA10 code is active from 10:00 tomorrow according to the post on HUKD.
I tried the code on this item and got a message saying that the code isn't ready yet, so that's a good indication that it will be usable tomorrow. Only 10 in stock so a bit of a lottery if a few people are after this tomorrow morning for around £300 plus delivery. TCB at 1.01% will almost pay for the delivery 😁
ebaystores.co.uk/ebu…mp;

I still think it may go back down to £299 on Ebuyer main site before too long with, currently 1.01% TCB.

As i posted previously, Ebuyer has a few bad reports about returns.
I know it`s the same company on Ebay but I think you would have more leverage if things go wrong via Ebay.

From what I can gather this laptop is a Feb 2019 and was RRP at £359 and it is also classed as a business machine.
If you not sure and might want to return then avoid ebuyer.
Hot as hell

eBuyer have a leaderboard to provide bonuses to their staff depending on how many requests for returns they refuse.
Avoid

Bought one of these the other day. Very good spec for the price and no issues with eBuyer, ordered at 9.30pm and it arrived at 9am next day.

Screen is mediocre. It is also made of horrible cheap grey plastic - think, 1990s laptop. It shows all fingerprints. No wonder it isn't sold in shops, it definitely looks better online. It also really annoyingly doesn't have a right Ctrl key so if you use a lot of keyboard shortcuts you will find it grating.

Overall I think it is good value for money if you don't care for looks and just want a workhorse. But you would probably struggle to find an uglier laptop nowadays.
can you not buy a plug in wireless adaptor

cant you buy a plug in wireless adaptor, or will that not work?
I could of but why should I when the laptop should be capable that be like buying a car but the the brakes on it don't work and you'd have to go get new ones. Not ideal

Says it all as a company, no wonder they was trying to delay it even though it was already checked by HP, won't purchase from Ebuyer again specially seeing that.
I have one of these. Bought it in Jan 2018. 14 months later the display screen stopped working.

THIS IS A KNOWN FLAW WITH THESE!

The screen works but you need a flashlight pointing at the screen in a dark room to be able to barely see the display. As for finding the mouse pointer, on the pad I had to keep moving it to the bottom left corner for a while then slowly move it and watch out for it moving. Took a while to setup the external monitor as the hd output was setup for 4k and I needed it to run at a lower resolution of a vga monitor.
for the battery how many hours it can last for?
Code working on ebay now - £301.30 including postage. Intrest free for 12 months if you have paypal credit I notice as well.

Plus it`s £140 dearer and in this day and age a laptop without SSD is a deal breaker.P
This laptop has been doing the rounds on hotukdeals for the past month.
Both from Ebuyer direct and through it`s Ebay store.
One way or another we seem to end up around the £300 mark with the general consensus
of the display is crap and also Ebuyer is.

I think I`ll give this one a miss and keep looking.
All the opinions posted on here are most useful.

Won't be buying any HP laptop again in a hurry. Bought a brand new HP Probook 470 G2 back in 2015. I can honestly say it was the worst Windows laptop I have ever owned even after upgrading to Windows 10. Ridiculous boot up time. Full of HP bloatware some of which was impossible to remove. The poor performance forced me to move to an Apple Macbook Pro which I swore blind I wouldn't do. Also have my mums HP Probook 4530s in front of me now. About 7 years old and light internet use only - slowed up to a crawl even after reinstalling Windows 10. Just put in a SSD and reinstalling Windows 10 in the hope it speeds it up. If not she will keep my 10 year old Sony Vaio which is still going strong! I doubt I will ever buy HP again!
Hi guys, I'm not up to speed with recent specs... Could anyone please tell me if this machine has enough grunt to play acceptable sims4? Thanks
Sadly the deal looks to have ended. Nolonger £309 :-(

Haha I know what you mean about waiting for ages. I've picked up this 37950015-a7ttM.jpgBut to be honest I know nothing about laptops so will try it for a week and see if it can handle any games and potentially send it back.
Think hanging on to black Friday is a shout for any real deals
