Great price for the printer.
Not so great price for the printer food.
Another example of it being cheaper to buy a new printer than buy ink cartridges, although the carts supplied with the printer may be starter carts containing less ink than a standard replacement. cartridge.
Think refill kits are available from around £6 each, for those that can be bothered to refill.

The cartridges are, as far as I can tell, standard HP cartridges, but many HP cartridges only contain 1/4 to 1/3 of the ink found in remanufactured cartridges.

Can't write so probably can't read either. Inclined to have sympathy for the HP person having to deal with them!

That said the reviews are awful too.

Mine seems to work as well as I'd expect, and it's fully working under Fedora Linux too.

I've got one of these.
It's alright. It's not brilliant, but it's alright.
Comes with next to no ink though.

The refill for it is the "300" which does about 200 pages (according to HP!) and costs about a tenner if you shop about online. Or then there's the "300 XL" which they claim does 600 pages and you can get for about £17.

It seems fine for my general printing, still, I don't like how much software HP try and make you install, or how cheap the plastic feels. I think next time I buy a printer I'll go for a Canon.
I don't actually think I've ever used the scanner.

Nice deal, if the cart, didn't cost a bom

Could someone please clarify what the exact deal is here. Do you get the printer and 5 ream box of paper for £19.95? Or do you have to buy the paper at full price to get the printer for £19.95? Post seems a bit ambiguous.

Never mind ambiguous m8, I thought it could be taken two diferent ways :-\

It's very simple, you must buy the paper @ full price of £9.95 which then allows you to buy the printer for £10 total price £19.95.

You having a laugh. Title is poorly worded and implies you get printer and paper for £19.95. Where in your title does it mention cost of paper is £10.00.?
Printer gets crap reviews. HP paper in Asda only £9.00 per box. So overall not a particularly good deal.
Just read my post again. I must have been on the **** when I wrote it! Apologies to OP.

Got mine this morning, for 20 quid you can't argue...not used it yet but will tomorrow and try it out.

Also got the laptop deal they were doing...now that was a bargain! :-D

Bought one and IF you buy a USB or an extension cable (£3.45 ish) then they give you two years extra insurance warranty which they tried to sell me first..(the assistant then told me that i could get the two years if i bought an extension..which I did!)

Ink cartridges are expensive but then many are
Only tomorrow left if you want to get one

I was never told that, never mind!

I got there at 9:15am and there were 8 printers left so I doubt many stores will have them tomorrow.

For students extra 10% off with NUS card

...Ink cartridges are expensive but then many are...

Maybe I have misunderstood you, but a suggestion that as other printers use expensive cartridges it justifies buying this particular model seems illogical.
The relative purchase cost of this item is exceptionally low, but the relative on-going ownership costs will be exceptionally high. Or maybe your printing needs are short-term and the printer will be landfill after the included carts are exhausted?

well wot can i say
I thought for £10 a printer u cannot go wrong... I mean i need to buy papaer anyways for my other printer...

The printer is so easy to set up ...just follow the instructions off the cd...thats if u can read chinese!!!
Yes it was all in chinese!!!
but using my own knowledge and computer know all I managed to guess it all out...
Brill bargain!!

I agree set it up for kids pc works fine and when it runs out of ink I am sure another bargain printer will be around. I've never bought replacement ink just new printers. They don't go to landfill just to the tip who collect electrical stuff and send it to china to be recycled (probably they put in landfill) and send a new one back for £10. Good for my wallet, not good for the planet!

years ago i bought 5 printers from toys r us for £20 each....black and white... only cos it was cheaper than getting the ink!!
