OK firstly....I just want to know if this a decent deal, as I was after a low budget laptop.

Operating system installed Genuine Windows Vista® Home Basic
Processor type Intel Core Duo T2400 / 1.83 GHz ( Dual-Core )
Memory 1 GB DDR II SDRAM
Internal hard disk drive 120 GB - Serial ATA-150 - 5400 rpm
Optical drive type DVD±RW (+R double layer) / DVD-RAM
Display size 15.4" TFT active matrix 1280 x 800 ( WXGA )

£ 370.00 orginally, but sign up for updates and u get a code for £40.00 off.

So what do you think? Perhaps a vostro would be another option?

It says £370 on the main page but using the link above it is displayed at £355, Use the above link and the above code and get it down to £315 delivery is £5.

Not a bad spec laptop for potentially £320 delivered. I have taken a look and they dont even seem to be adding a delivery charge when I try to check out so it could be £315.

I order one of these on Monday it arrived yesterday was £315 all in.

I'll give that a go rob, did u order through a business acount.. or can anyone just order one the business units?

First I registered a Standard Account
Then followed the link provided the laptop displays initially as £370 plus postage. But when adding it appears as £355. Go through usual checkout enter the code and it comes to £315 and £0 for postage.

It took 3 days for delivery which isnt bad.

Oh right, i made an account as an unregistered business (whoops?) and now when I click on that link its showing up as 315... i click add to cart, and i click view cart and its empty. Perhaps they're site is down.. or am I doing something wrong?

The HP site had problems the last time there was a deal; it has issues.

Yeah its still not working... I'm considering just paying the 330, I get 5%% cashback through quidco bringing it back to 315 or thereabouts. What do you think, worth paying the extra 15 odd quid to get it by xmas?

OK I went for it anyways... but I got this message while paying for it through my solo:

We regret that we cannot accept your order. The special circumstances associated with credit card transactions over the Internet requires us to impose strict rules for each transaction. We will soon be able to offer a pre-payment solution for our customers, which will allow customers to pay in advance.

um help...?

Quidco 5%

I just ordered one took HP ages to sort there site out. Cost me £327.99 after £40 voucher Quidco tracked at £13.11 Business account.

How'd u go about that Hiro (nice name lol) because the business site is still giving me problems.. i add it, and it says cart empty... and u sure ur using 40 quid discount coz it gives me 334.99, it actually works out better for me to use SANTA code as that is 333.00 (+ quidco).

Zak.

I found out that my virus checker was blocking quidco (Kapasky). I used a different PC, didn't use the link just logged into quidco, then clicked on quidco link then HP for business then laptops found the 530. Added to basket and brought it on account as it wouldn't accept my cc. I didnt get charged delevery thats the difference.

Whats the SANTA code? I used the code HPOPTF

I just tried to purchase another one to see if it works SANTA code £333 and HPOPTF works out at £327.99 on a HP for business.

Zak give it another go, try using another PC maybe it will work that way. Just noticed your the OP and you ain't ordered one as yet? LOL

Got mine from Play.com for £269.99 inc postage ordered 10Dec got it under three tonight

yeah but the play one isn't dual core has only 512mb and 40gb less of a hard drive - I too got one on the 10% offer thing also, nice well built machine (with added £11 of ram helps) but do I wish I'd waited a couple of weeks for this one at an extra £75? hmmm not really, mine's quick enough for what I use a lappy for but a core duo well built HP for a litttle something over £300 doesn't seem a bad deal to me

So glad I didnt go for this laptop (as much as I tried to order it). I went with one of MikeT's dell Vostro 100 deals. Better CPU, RAM, and graphics for a mere £30.
