fairly good deal considering the celeron processor version is around this price new!

not a bad deal, the voucher won't work for the laptop tho.

Banned

is it just me or is this very cheap1

good for the price, although i would want to upgrade the hard drive

does anyone know anything about the graphics card? ati X3100? any good?

its onboard graphics, intel media graphics accelerator. Nothing special. I would say this is a good deal but the hp 6735s that were around a little while ago were better for the money.

Voted hot - this system was £380 on Friday.

Does this have a webcam?

No, it does not

It's been this price for ages, thought it was already posted.
I got one a while back, very happy with it so far.

Does anyone know if this is eligible for the free Windows 7 upgrade?

It's been £339 for ages and has been posted at that price.

I'd advise EVERYONE to check the which version of Vista this laptop came with.
A friend of mine just received his, and it only came with Vista BASIC, not not 'Home premium' as advertised.

While this may not be a massive difference, you are NOT entitled to a free upgrade to Windows 7 with Vista basic, only home premium and above.

He's wrong. I just got two.

They both have Vista Basic and Centrino (opposed to Core 2 Duo) stickers on the front.

When booted up, it's definately Home Premium, as can be confirmed by looking at the licence certificate on the bottom. Also defo a Core 2 Duo. This laptop is pretty bloody ugly, but a bargain you can't argue with, would suit a student perfectly.

Actually, my Vista license sticker on the BOTTOM says basic, so how about you don't tell me I'm wrong when I know what I'm looking at...

Anyway, after calling HP and going to their Windows 7 upgrade site ( h41112.www4.hp.com/pro…en/ ), I found out this model isn't eligible for the free upgrade anyway. So don't buy this thinking you'll get Win7 when it's released, it wont happen.

Thanks

These HP business machines are not easy on eyes but more reliable than HP domesitc DV series I believe. According to a repair shop, HP DV series got highest return/faulty rate than other brands. They got a biggest stack of shiny new HP DV laptops in the shop for repair. I couldn't believe some of them are in prestine condition.
