HP 8610 Printer £109.00 at John Lewis - net cost £29 after £30 cashback and £50 JLP vouchers

HP 8610 printer at John Lewis. The purchase price is £109 however you get £30 cash back from HP and £50 JLP vouchers so the net cost is £29 (this obviously assumes you have a use for the £50 JLP voucher). Also get an extended three year warranty from HP. The link to the details on how to redeem the £50 JLP vouchers isn't working, I've advised JLP customer services as have just ordered. Excellent printer, I already have one but bought this as a spare as at that price this is an absolute bargain.

Good deal IF John Lewis honour the £50 and dont say its an error

Hot deal

Can the John Lewis vouchers be used at Waitrose? ta

Removing the stuff after the "pdf" in the john lewis £50 broken link gives the correct page johnlewis.scene7.com/is/…pdf

Big yes, but large 500 sheet capacity tray. Ethernet and wireless and also fax so must have a phone line connection?
Supports airprint and (presumably) tablets? Supports double sided printing. The only question to me is are there cheap compatible ink cartridges available
And the JL vouchers are ok if there is something else you really need to buy there.

I don't see why this should be a problem? .. Waitrose is John Lewis's sister Company .....

Most John Lewis 'stuffs' work in Waitrose .. though now always the other way round? (for whatever reason?) lol.

Tell me bout it? lol.

Other then Tablets at John Lewis,i not 100% sure what i'd be able to plough the £50 on? .. or maybe its me thinking too much?.

Hot! I have this printer and it's excellent. Good quality text, fast, duplex, wireless etc. Great deal if you would spend the £50 JL voucher and can be bothered with the hassle of claiming from JL and HP.

That was kind of my bugga bear too?.

Is it worth the £109 it costs? (before u then reduce, reduce, reduce?).

You say its 'Duplex' yeh? .. as in Full Duplex?, or Half Duplex?, thanx. :-)

Just checked the claim forms jl want the original..hp want a copy so easy to apply for both :)...would just need to consider where to put the dam thing as they look like a tank

is this ink jet?

You have to purchase printer first to get £50 JL voucher.
so how can you reduce the overall cost once you make a purchase?

This printer is Instant Ink Compatible also

Fantastic deal and also compatible with HP instant ink.
I have an Envy 5532 printer on the £7.99 a month deal and can print 300 A4 colour photographs a month. I've been using instant ink for nearly 1 year and have no complaints and saved over £300 in ink. More details below.
Also on the HP site it shows an included voucher for 2 months instant ink (600 pages) free. Worth £15.98

Ordered - great price if both the cashbacks and the warranty come through! Many thanks OP!

Reading the reviews seems to suggest people have been having a hard time getting cash back and extended warranty. Worth bearing in mind.

I had no problems at all with either the cash back or extended warranty for my current 8610. Simple web based claim process, just needed to submit a scan copy of the invoice.

The up website states it's finished

Hi
It's the second offer down. Not the last one which is expired.
The new offer doesn't expire until 31/07/15. Here's the link below.

That reference is to the last offer period. Look further up the page and you will see the link for the current offer period...purchases between 01/05/2015 and 31/07/2015.

when i click on the link to claim £50 of JL vouchers, i get "Image not found" from the URL: johnlewis.scene7.com/is/…pdf

original post need to be edited as I have spoken to JL and you will get £50 voucher after purchasing the printer.
so the effective cost of buying is £79.

You can use that £50 JL VOUCHER later in any of their stores

don't follow you - you get £50 voucher which brings effective price down to £59...then HP cashback is another £30, so final cost is £29

Crazy bargain-does anyone know if the document feed is any good and if so, is it double sided?

Ordered printer too cheap to resist.

ordered. thanks. heat added. the savings on ink did it for me!!! 5th printer in the house!!! Damn you HUKD!!!!!:(

I have the 8615 model, and its a good workhorse of a printer. duplex workse well.

Only downside is the size, its huge! hp didnt take more than 2 weeks to pay out when I bought mine from costco.

book marked

The link for the warranty is the same as the cashback on the HP website, how do I get the 3 year warranty?

Great deal this.
Is it definitely wireless n work with apple products?

I have given up on inkjets, they are just built like turd for the most part and especially if you don't use them pretty much every week they dry up and block and have fits when you do come to use them. Highly annoying.

I recommend a small (size is relative) colour laser if you don't print photos and you probably shouldn't anyway, it's cheaper and better quality to upload and order online from a print service if you can spare the couple of days turnaround.

Something like this perhaps: ebuyer.com/542…119

But there's plenty of options

Cheers. so you are saying that when I register just as a product or register for the cash back?

I have the next version up and its good.

Its also however absolutely massive so make sure you have space for it...

Anyone know if this printer is good enough and on par to a photo printer?
