Ending in 97p = End of Line
Ending in 98p = Low availability

This is correct, but its worth noting that end of line doesnt always mean bargain prices or no availability. Its just when the price drops to this level, it is often the last stop before writing stock off, hence often store used or damaged stock.

If you look for current .97 lines, you'll find among others the Nikon D40x although my local store still has 5 of them.

So can you search on these 97p, 98p products? if so how?:-D

you can put prices into the search field on the currys website (although its notoriously unreliable), but I was actually talking about instore. (Oh and most end of line stuff shouuld be on yellow tickets in store)
