HP 14-cm0026na Laptop, AMD A9 Processor, 4GB RAM, 128GB SSD, 14" Full HD, Smoke Grey.

I am after a new laptop, but I can't find any online reviews. So any advice please?

Good price for JL, especially with 2 year warranty. Spec is low but with SSD should be fine for lite office and browsing/email (if you like lots of tabs open in your browser 4GB memory is on the low side.)
good find OP

as above, for basic users this should be fine and the SSD will help responsiveness
Unless this is your absolute hard budget and you have to buy brand new, avoid this. The CPU is appallingly bad that’s why it’s cheap, you can fix the RAM and install more but the CPU will be forever slow and inefficient. Less than £100 more will buy you a quad-core Ryzen 5 laptop that’s currently considered the sweet spot - you’ll have one of the best CPU architectures going as well as decent integrated graphics.
I do wish people would post links to the so called better Laptop deals. Every laptop appears to have a downside and the more money you spend does not always make it better. Even the Dell is it xps? has lag latency video issues due to to how it handles drivers.
Just ordered and had considered a pricier (£299) ASUS with a bigger screen (though HDD)...however still prefer this HP with SSD

Also considered a cheaper (£248.97) Lenovo variant but poor screen and no SSD:

Therefore the John Lewis peace of mind and HP brand was pretty good given the cut price £100 discount
Re Sprintz From Argos Feb review "On paper all specs seems to be fine, but somehow it doesn't work, to the point that I had to return it. Save yourself a disappointment and spend few extra £ to get better machine."

Perhaps it's this Lenovo Ryzen, only drawbacks are, the poor TN screen and the battery life
