Amazing deal. I would go for it if it was a full HD screen. Heat added anyway

Tab is actually on sale from HP for £149 on its own.

Seems like a cracking deal for both items so have some heat OP.

I nearly bought the phonetab last night oddly enough!

Dont forget, there is TCB on this.

I think the Voicetab is twin sim capable too.

Unfortunately this sint 4G but....

"It’s a multitalented tablet that lets you make 3G voice calls when using a hands-free headset. With dual standby SIMs, the incredibly versatile HP Slate7 VoiceTab will help make sure your voice is heard, wherever you go."

Is defo Twin SIM.

with phone included that's not bad value.

Does anyone know if the networks (particularly) Three see this tab as a 'phone' - ie unlimited internet to it will work?

If so will solve all my problems...

I've had a nightmare trying to order it online so called the number and did it. But lost out on any CashBack.

I've been a user of "Big Phones" for some time now and have even truied to get my Cellular iPad to make calls (unsuccessfully). If this was 4G it would have been a dream come true. But at this price with a Chromebook I have decided to give it a go. HP are excellent taking back returns but remember its 14 days.

CEX gives £63 for the tab/phone so £136 for a brand new chrome book. Whats the battery life like on this particular model? its the thing that intrigues me the most about chrome books.

just ordered online via TCB with no problems.8)

I think my main concern is battery life for the phone..... still not decided yet...

I bought this deal last week based on the pretty good reviews of the hp chromebook 11. However since most of the reviews were written HP have changed the spec. The awsome IPS screen has been replaced with a terrible TN screen and the weight has increased.

I was very dissapointed and am sending mine back.

They say "8 Hours" but don't clarify if that is 8 hours on standby or 8 hours of actual use. The battery isnt removeable so its not like you can go and buy a spare. I've just been on eBay to check out some accessories and it seems there are no cheap accessories for it either. The only "non-HP" cover you can get for it is the general one that fits most tablets but not very well.

I like the idea of the VoiceTab, but the spec's just seem pretty outdated now, I wouldn't mind replacing my phone with something like that, with specs to rival the current flagships.

question ...anyone know if u can run 'certain' film apps for android on Chromebooks?

I agree totally. But at this cost and the fact it is Dual SIM has clinched it for me. iPhones and high end Samsung phones will probably never be dual SIM and the convenience oh haveing "2 phones in 1" is just too tempting for me to resist.

was researching into this and noticed the weight was different on a lot of reviews and the spec listed. Now it all make sense from your comment. guess I am giving it a pass then.

So they have two subpar products they want to get rid off in one go? The price may be good, but price is not everything.

The Sony Xperia Compact Tablet LTE is what you're asking for however its price is also current flagship priced too. I have one tho and can honestly say its fantastic.

Nope, only chrome apps. It's not android.

Except if you're tech savvy enough you can run any Android app on a Chromebook, there's a wrapper for the apps.

My initial thought when I saw this was that it represented great value. However you are getting a mediocre Chromebook, and a mediocre tablet. If you can live with this, it is good value, you get a lot for your money, and to get a better Chromebook and tablet you would certainly have to spend a lot more. I wouldn't buy an ARM Chromebook, the Haswell Celeron Chromebooks are so much better, and I can't help thinking that the tablet is going to be laggy.

So is it Hot or Cold, that really is up to the buyer.

It isnt mediocre, it was probably the best 1st gen chromebook. Lots of the 2nd gen ones have disappointed.

I looked into specs alot and tried several and decided that as its a basic device, performance differences are negligible. The new toshiba chromebook which is well reviewed actually is slower than first one.

The positives for this one are its the only one that takes sim card and 9 hours is the 2nd best battery life, also i think its only one to charge via micro usb which is handy but I dont know if it makes it slow to charge

For me screen size, battery life and i wanted 32gb were my requirements when i chose. The main choice is 9-11 hours standard screen or 6-8 hours hd ips screen and a higher price than this

Are you talking about the Tablet or the Chromebook? It sounds like you are talking about the Chromebook but then you mention it takes a SIM card.

looks like you can put lollipop on the Voice … looks like you can put lollipop on the Voice Tabhttp://www.50lollipop.com/mp3-0/hp-7-voicetab-6784.html

That's a scam site, don't download anything from there.

I received mine yesterday and the Voicetab has updated to Kitkat and seems Ok so far. The reviews were very damning about speed slowing down etc but mine is OK so far. One thing to note is one of the SIMcard slots only supports 2G so make sure you get the right SIM in the right slot etc. Accessories are few and far between. I havent been able to find a cover on eBay that isnt the HP one for around £18.

The Chromebook is OK. Its not lightening fast and truly does have limited use. I have installed Ubuntu on it and it certainly seems liveable but I wouldnt want it asn my main comp to be on all day (I am an IT bloke so really push my machines).

ChromeOS doesnt support stuff like mounting a Network drive so if you have a NAS for example you can forget about streaming stuff from it (bit of a pity).

Verdict - for £199 I will be keeping both these and not sending back. But honestly, I wont be using the phone as my main phone or the Chromebook as my main Computer.

Thios one doesnt take a SIM Card. It arrived yesterday and it was one of the first things I checked.

anyone else having random wi-fi dropouts with the chromebook, seems to be a common fault and my other wi-fi connected stuff including the voicetab are unaffected.
have requested a refund from Hp as it's unfit for purpose with no reliable internet connection.:(

Change your router's wifi settings from 802.11 B/G/N to 802.11 B/G and you will see that the wifi dropouts magically disappear.

Thanks, but I got a full refund last week.
