I'm starting to wonder the same. However the account would suggest otherwise. None of the machines posted have been a particular deal. AG112, care to elaborate on any of these why you think they are a deal yourself? As I posted in another post, there are quite a few better alternatives for less money unless I've missed something.

Just find it strange that they seem to post loads of deals from the same retailer? I might be wrong though.

It's a bit odd but it's a long time to wait as a user (7 years) before spamming the site. I can only guess they've just found Tier1 online and felt the things posted are deals.

That's fine. Expected as much. I've never found Tier1 to be particularly good value for money compared to other outlets. They also seem to have more of a range of older stock than most places as everywhere else tends to have very little of this era of computers.

For anyone looking at this machine, I'd strongly consider a machine running a next gen chip as these T7500 chips were notorious for running very hot and ending up being uncomfortable. The next generation chips (Prefixed with a P) were much cooler running, better on battery and generally the machines can be had at around the same price point.

If 14inch laptops are what you're after, for £10 more this adds, 6months of warranty, it's a newer model with a newer and faster processor than the deal, uses DDR3 ram which is vastly cheaper to add more compared to the DDR2 in this HP-Compaq.

I also find these older HP-Compaq machines have fewer parts available and those parts tend to be more expensive as a result, as they just don't have as much of a presence in the business world compared to the likes of the Dell e series, Lenovo T series and HP Pro and Elitebook models. One of the main reasons I wouldn't buy one as it makes them less economical to repair by comparison to one of those I've listed on a like for like fault such as replacement screen hinges etc.

I wouldn't pay £100 for an 8440 let alone a 6910.

i bought a similar model, back in 2012 for £110 from schtrade. so not really a deal here.

its really bad dont get.
