I suspect there is only one of these. In the specification tab under condition is says "Used with small crack on hinge, hence the price".

Just make sure you check the picture before purchasing!!!!!!

I liked the sound of these as there seems to be a few of them coming up but having read some reports from IT guys they appear to be unreliable, failing hard drives, hinges etc. I would advise doing some homework first as you may be better off spending more.

I have one of these running Windows7 and it is superb - far more user friendly than a netbook. Better screen, better keyboard, built in DVD drive and it weights about the same as most netbooks. I have a 6 cell battery in mine and get about 4 hours of use. Not sure I'd buy one with a cracked lid though. You can usually find these on sale on ebay in near perfect condition for between £120 -£150.

Pritty damning. :w00t:

The PC Pro review is very fabvourable and that is usually a good indicator.
The original RRP was over £1000 2 years ago when they first came out.
They were that good a bargain that they have sold out now :-(
If they come back in I'll get a couple for the children to use.

My point was that while a new machine may get a good review it doesn't mean that the machine will last, try pricing a new motherboard for any laptop. The report was from a guy that was responsible for 130 so he will have a very good idea what they are like over a period of time, good ones, bad ones and all. At least there appears to be plenty of second hand spares available from stripped ones.

. Yes I notice that the guy raves about Toshiba. Here we have 100 Tosh Sat Pro A200's and good number have gone faulty. Besides that they fail quite regularly and keys pop off the keyboard randomly. The problem is not the faults but the very very very poor warranty service from Toshiba (or more precisely the sub contractors that Tosh send them out to) We argued about a sticking keyboard with a warranty repair company for 4 months. I sent it back for a simple keyboard replacement under our extended warranty agreement and they said it also needed a motherboard because of liquid spill damage. This was not covered under warranty and would cost us about £280 all together!!!!! We would also have to pay £100 to have it shipped back unrepaired (shipping and inspection fee). This was ridiculous as the laptop only for £320. We had taken a look at it here first and had it to pieces. There was 100% no liquid damage and the motherboard was fine. I priced up a spare keyboard and it was £30. Eventually after complaining to the highest level at Toshiba the repairer agreed to just swap the keyboard and ship it back for £120. So Toshiba laptops are just as bad and their warranty repair service is flawed. They hold your equipment to ransom and had we not been technical enough to know better we would have been out £280. The laptop has been fine for 6 months since it was returned. So guess what, I am not buying Toshiba again. I accept equipment will fail, but bad customer service is unforgivable. At lease Dell and HP will take your work as a experienced engineer and they offer to send you the part to fit yourself.

More Bigpockets secondhand dross, thankfully gone, it might have been a close shave for some poor suckers!

the item was clearly marked as used and a picture of the fault provided - why dont you post some deals instead of boring others with your constantly negetive dross
