Celeron = nasty

Please backup your comment.

With 3GB of memory, does it really make much difference when multi-tasking.

I'd personally never touch an Intel "Celery".

Lower caches and speeds = poorer performance, especially on higher end apps.

The rest of the laptop seems like an alright spec, not a bad price either.

got this for £200 from CDiscount

very nice build quality and the processor isnt too bad least its a dual core runs vista ok

nice that its got an HDMI out as well

COLD - far better deals around for this price range

Quidco should be taken as a bonus and not used as the posting price cos it's not guaranteed imo.

i think what he meant is that for not that much more money you get much faster processor speeds

Yeah, I did...

Isnt the pecking order of intel processors - celeron, dual core, core 2 duo.... you can get a similar spec + core 2 duo for around that price... as for multitasking, it's arguable, whether a better processor will be better than more memory... for my money, i'd go for the processor, as after the app swaps in, the processor speed will pay dividends.

Brrr......... can i get a jacket please?

It's not that bad guys, geez i've seen some netbooks at this price. I'll add some heat.

LOL - Its obvious you havent a clue by that statement.

Its a celeron mate - enuff said!

The processor is ancient. This laptop was old technology a year ago as you'll soon discover when trying to do anything like video processing or playing a game! I wouldnt pay £150 for it.

Much better deal posted here: hotukdeals.com/ite…826

This is not a good deal, considering also that for a little extra you could get a Dell Studio notebook with a Core 2 Duo (as posted by MikeT amongst others).

Alex.

shocker freezing cold

I paid less than this for my Sony Vaio

This is the worse deal ever voted COLD

Awful price for an awful piece of kit. Shame you've drawn so much attention to it by hijacking other people's (better value) laptop deals.

Guys, the cpu T1600 has 1mb cache and Merom core - therefore it is closer to decent Pentium Dual Core than celeriac .The performance should be above T2330 line , so pretty acceptable for most basic tasks.
+ decent screen resolution
+ webcam
+ 250Gb hdd
+ 3gb ram
+ HDMI
+ Altec Lansing speakers
+ cheap warranty upgrade

I would say it is not that bad.

good find, heat added.

Just one for the wife and also one for my girlfriend.

just bought 50 might be a misprice and ill get a few quid on ebay
