Ink prices? Surely the most important factor of any @home printer

Edit: A quick google search brought up cartridge prices at almost double the cost of the printer oO

Does this one take compatibles though? usually alot cheaper

Get an Epson instead - I've got a Epson R220, had it for years, each ink cartridge costs me 75p. Good picture quality. Epsons are a little pricier, but thats because the compatibles are stupidly cheap.

Good little printer and £8.99 for a black and £18.99 for black and colour plus they can be re-used at least 2 times before needing to buy another genuine cart. Bargain I say.

Black Cart link

amazon.co.uk/HP-…t_c

Colour Cart at £9.99 or as stated under a score for the 2 above

amazon.co.uk/HP-…g_b

Personally I like HP better than Epson but I hate the junk HP software and wish HP would slim it down.

good deal though

How would I do this, are they easy to DIY refill?

They are easy to fill but you need a steady hand. I take them to the local cartworld in Edinburgh and they do it faster and better and its cheap. Also Morrisons carts are brilliant mate..................£9.99 for 15ml and they last an age.

As I say software is a bloody nightmare but the printers are brilliant, an with a little work filling up the carts and \or refilling them can work very cheap indeed.

Hi rash I've got a r220 to and lately I'm getting a message saying parts of your printer are reaching their service time, have you experienced this, I'm waiting on it going belly up any time now, it has been a good printer though

Get an Epson instead

but i've herared epsons ink dries and cloggs in cartridge if you dont use them regularly..

The whole thing is cheaper than ink for my Dell as aftermarket carts print in dark blue and not black. Great Find.

awesome price for the printer but postage is a let down...!

That was true for the Epson I own, but in all fairness, couldn't you say the same for other printers?

Not been getting that message? Although mine does seem to take in smaller picture paper and the like a little wonky, must be the rollers not quite aligned.

I get mine from Scan.co.uk I buy £20 worth of kit and their inks are only 75p when on offer (always less than £1 though.)

EDIT: (a quick google search mate!) Here you are - this should reset your printer.
