Cheers. Was looking for a new one.
Don't forget to add a promotion code if/when you sign up for instant ink
2MONTHSDJUK (this is not a referral code)

and add a referral code from someone with a HP instant ink subscription, to maximise your free months.

Let me know if i can be of any assistance setting up
Just make sure that if you want to just have this printer and have free ink by using less than 15 pages/month, then do NOT subscribe for the Instant Ink trial. You will not be able to downgrade to the free plan having subscribed to payable plan within the trial.
Anyone know what the the Photo quality is like

It's ok.. Can't really say anymore that that.. Not as good good at printed in a lab imo but you can see its from printer. For framing and photo album it's fine I think.. I don't have this printer but similar hp with maybe the same guts.. We still get some photos printed in lab as cheap these days.. Depends what you want I guess

What if you cancelled your subscription at the end of your trial and then restarted a new subscription on the 15 page free plan? Would that work?

I don't think it will because HP would know the printer you had the trial with from the MAC address. But feel free to read the T&Cs in full and advise...
Fgs.. If your printing less than 15 pages a month go to library and print for 20p or whatever it is.. Although it dose make me smile when people stick to the free options... Good on them

Rather inconvenient to go to the library to print and even more so if your council has closed your nearest library.

Can you scan without printing?
Good printer. I paid £14.99 for it from Argos last year. Only just taken it out its box this week to print some documents off.

I'd imagine so but I've not tried to. I can't remember seeing a disc in the box. Maybe you have to download the software from the website. All I did was plug it into my computer and it downloaded all the necessary software from the Microsoft site. I've printed and scanned with a copy like a photocopier but not scanned without a paper copy.

I got this and tried the free 15 page option for 2 months, but went over both months so upgraded to 50 a month for £1.99. Good printer in my opinion and better than the £140 printer it replaced. Everything is done through the app on the phone though, but works well. Cant fault it at this price (which I paid 4 months ago from currys)

Can you scan without printing?

Yes.. Although I use my phones camera to scan photos or documents. (paperless) Any phone with camera will do it but if you want to photo copy the printer will do that

Deal ended now, but only £26.99 anyway!
Final question do you have to register the instant ink thing straight away or can you use it for a while first?
2630 is still £24.99. What’s the diff
