Good little package with the 15 months HP instant ink included. Ideal for light users who only do occasional printing. There's a possible additional 2 months instant ink with promo code: 2MONTHSDJUK added at the end of the sign up process.

The printer comes with a free 3-month trial & £25 pre-applied to your insatnt ink account, one years 50 PPMP is £23.88, so you can get at least 15 months free instant ink from this deal.

If you have a friend with HP instant ink* then ask them for their referral code, as that will get both of you an additional months instant ink. Please no instant ink referral requests/offers here.

WiFi & Apple AirPrint
Colour print / copy / scan
Single-sided printing
4800 x 1200 dpi

*If you don't have a friend with an HP instant ink accout then there's a referral thread on MSE where you can find one, or if you already have an account you can post your code. See here: forums.moneysavingexpert.com/sho…=11

This ink plan is £24 a year - this looks like a good deal as my printer is dying so I’m tempted.....

You're right, so with the 3 months free trial and the included £25 voucher you should be able to get 15 months printing on the 50 PPMP.

Heat added

Normal price from HP store... where is a deal?

Does it come with the 15 months instant ink included at HP direct?

My current ink runs out in 2035! At 300 pages per month. I think the printer might die first!

I think I would expire before then, my goal is to die in 2053 though when I'm 83 so we'll see. The reason for this is as a kid I saw some 1970's under sea sci fi film and the date was 2053 and my grand dad died when he was 83, seems reasonable. I think I missed the boat on significant life extension that will be for the next generation or generation after. As Queen said Who Wants to Live Forever!

How does this compare to the Canon PIXMA MX535 which is also hot at the moment @39.99? I was about to go pick one up tomorrow but saw this here.

How?? More info would be appreciated please...

I've just bought this today. No mention of the £25 voucher though? And nothing inside the box.

From Curry's product information 'The HP Instant Ink package for this printer includes a three-month trial and a £25 code that can be redeemed on any plan – plans start from £1.99 per month for 50 pages.'

First thing to do is go to Curry's website and take a screenshot of the above.

The £25 voucher was probably a HP promo and they would have added the voucher to the box. There's normally a sticker on the printer box highlighting what value voucher would be inside.

I would contact HP, as the onus is on them to supply a new code if it was their promo, even though Currys sold you the printer. If that fails then get on to Currys, but HP are normally pretty good.

I'd be interested in the outcome. Good luck.

Ditto. Just a 3 month trial. No mention of £25 voucher on the outside of box or inside.

Right, now just have to deal with Currys crappy after sales service.

I rang currys. They told me to ring hp. Rang hp and the guy confirmed there is £25 credit. He went to add it to my account and i noticed that there was already £25 on, he confirmed that it was already on the account. So have a look at that.

Also used the code at the top for an extra 2 months free

Good that the £25 was included after all. I have updated the OP to highlight your findings.

I set it up on the site after the application kept giving me a script error and not letting me go forward with card details.

I'm pretty sure that once enrolled you can no longer add a promo code.

It's not a total loss though, you could post your referral code on MSE and maybe get some free months from that, see the thread HERE

No problem, mines there too. It's a roll of the dice as to whether or not you're chosen, but it's a nice surpise when you get the email that says your 'friend' signed up so here's your free extra month!

Very odd, set up using the app. Used the above code for 2 bonus months. Now only 2 months showing on my account. What happened to the basic 3 months? Looks like a phone call to HP in the morning.

Did you have any issues with getting the initial 3 months tracking to your account?

No. 3 months went on straight away. Didn't say anything about the additional 2 but the payment date was 13th of April. That's the only mention of it.

Hmm, in my case the above 2 month code has been applied. but the 3 month trial with the printer has not. And no sign of that £25 either. Looks like Currys have changed the description as well. If HP don't play ball, then it will be a claim on my credit card. What a pain!
