Looks like a good price. Anyone know if these are expensive to run (as someone with a Lexmark printer, I always worry about running costs!).

HP , Lexmark and a few other manufacturers are known for exceptionally costly replacement cartridges with little option for cheaper compatibles. Suspect the cost of carts for this item will cost more than the original dicounted purchase price of the printer! Buyer beware.
Edit:
Black cart ]£12
Colour cart ]£15.

HP branded for this machine are from £10-£12, no more expensive than most other machines (in fact cheaper than many)

...but obviously not from Tesco :whistling:

Compare to compatible Epson / Canon carts when a full set can frequently be bought for around a fiver.
Yes, I mention compatible because most users' general printing requirements is not heavily weighted towards the perceived benefit of using genuine carts i.e. high quality; most day-to-day users will probably be more influenced by cost. Hey - anybody wanting real quality printing is not going to find it by investing in a sub-£30 printer, especially when the replacement carts cost nearasdammit the same as a new printer!

Oh, suddenly you've changed to comparing HP branded ink to cheaper COMPATIBLE inks now! In that case, you can buy both cartridges for this model for just £8.

And this wasn't even a posting for a quality printer, it was a half price offer on 1 of a range of half price printers at Tesco. Who cares that this isn't a particularly high quality printer? It wasn't posted as such ;-)

Absolutely untrue, HP are 3 times as dear as Epson/Canon/Brother carts, Lexmark are the only ones dearer and thats because they incorporate the print head into their carts. But dont argue with Whizzkid he gets awfully nasty if you criticise one of his deals:giggle:

Its now gone down to £24.97!
