There was a big pile of these in the Highwoods, Colchester store this afternoon.

Good price but the ink isn't that cheap mind - not even after market ones. About £27 for all colours (including Black) a time.

HP means BAD

LOL To me it means very expensive to use

Cheap printer expensive ink. You guys should check out either any Laser printer or a Kodak inkjet. It will cost you a fair bit more but if you refill the cartridges just three times it more than pays for its self. HP cartridges can cost approx. £20 compared to £12 for Kodak.

Laser printers, particular black and white ones, can give you 5K prints before you need to replace it, so at the cost of £100 ish you're looking at 2p per page compared to roughly 15-19p on an inkjet printer.

I agree HP can be pricey for ink but if you look in the right place (ebay!) you can pick up some bargain price cartridges - just this week I got 2 HP56's and 2 HP57's off ebay for the total sum of £8!

Hi, was that £14 each or £14 for the set? If the latter I will definately order this.

Okay just found the page: play.com/PC/…tml 200 prints per cartridge. Thanks

good deal - thanks for sharing

Cheers OP - Ordered for £35.97 using code TD-SKWN for 10% off printers and also got 3% quidco, result !

Seems a good deal, voted hot

amazon usually have some good deals on ink

Thanks, OP. Ordered. Replaces my C4480. H & R.

Play have the 300XL Black (CC641EE) for £16.99. It has 3 times the capacity of the standard cartridge (CC640EE) which I’ve not seen for less than £9. play.com/PC/…tml

Great price.

hrmm just bought one off Amazon this week for 43.22 Can at least let you know it works great wirelessly, you have to connect via usb to scan though which is a bit annoying, but mainly wanted a printer that could be hidden in back room (less noise too)

can scan wirelessly with these. its just not documented.

although i suppose to scan something you have to physically put it in so not much point eh!

When you print something you have to physically go to the printer to collect the print so not much difference.

I print at least 10 times more than I scan so if I can live with the location of this for printing scanning isn’t an issue. If I have a large scanning job I can always move the scanner close to my desktop or move my laptop next to the scanner.

just tested and you CAN scan wirelessly, what fooled me was the scan button on the printer says (USB only) at the side of it. Obviously it means when going via the physical button you have to be connected via USB I guess. In my defence I did only set the printer up this afternoon

It's still expensive ink. A full change (all 4 colours) on my Brother all in one is just £7 and play is now showing £16

Yep now £16. Still dont know where you got £27 from...

The ink costs far to much on this printer . You might save on the printer but the ink is a joke !

Fab find thanks - got an extra £1 off with a McD's voucher and Quidco.

Thanks Rangers1 ! Just ordered using your code which means I can be a lazy sod and get delivery for only £1. Spotty Dog !

Ink is a bit more expensive than some for this printer but still not too bad. I've replaced the black and colour a couple of times now and I paid about £14 for the 300XL catridges (after market ones) and they last well.
The print quality is superb from this printer, someone mentioned Kodak earlier as being more expensive but the ink is cheap, well my colleague has a Kodak one and has had loads of problems with it. Always smudging the ink so has to always run a clean nozzle process which uses more ink if done regularly, it also makes 10 times more noise than this HP. I have been very pleased with it and would recommend this printer.

I use these people all the time and they're great

HP = Super Expensive ink (same cost as buying a new printer)

However, i voted hot for wireless feature.

When you refill do you need to reset the chip on the cartridge and wheres cheapest refill kit, ive seen universal kits of 100ml x 4 colours on ebay for £7.99 will these work, will work out about 50p a cart to refill with these kits.
