I've had refurbished things like phones in the past, they are top quality usually. Basically brand new if its a 'certified refurb' don't let the term refurbished stop you getting what looks like a bargain. Just checked it is a certified refurb and you get a year warranty on it.
Careful on the screens on any hp elitebook Even G4s. They are TNs and if you spend lots of time in front of it as i do for work you should pass. IPS is in a different league with a lot better viewing angles and that is what you should aim for
Thanks for your comment. Cancelled mine
Any good reccomendations??
I think this deal is way overpriced for what it is though...was looking at Amazon warehouse and refurb deals and they are flogging such old stock for silly prices.
Thanks , will explore ebay.
thanks for the info.
Do you have a link for that please?
This is the one i got, he doesnt seem to have any more for sale at the moment but could always add him to sellers list etc:

Hi. How/where are you selling your G2? Looks interesting. Thanks. Paul.
This is flawed judgement. As i said most of elitebooks come with TN even full hd ones. You are comparing a hp business with a consumer dell inspiron. Why don’t you compare same ranges to see what dell/lenovo offers?
800, 1000 series are the top range of HP offering. Build quality i can’t argue with that. The screens of HP unless you pay huge premium are utter rubish. Check reviews...
Across 2 years I have owned 1x 820 g2, 3 x 1040 g3( this is hp latest notebook business flagship with rrp> £1500 still have one) , 1x 840 g2 still own one. Not even the 1040 is coming with IPS Screen.
If you want IPS aka better screen you check serial before you buy at least on a used one.
I have had 2 top range ddells too and couple of lenovos carbon x1 and all of them came with very decent screens.
I am fussy about screens/ keyboard the actual whole mqchibe because of the work i do and if can afford i will get the best.
Would always buy a used business top range laptop against a new consumer laptop.
Warranty is way better. They usually last infinte, depending on abuse, better components, not that flashy, and very easy upgrade, rugged chassis...
and could go on forever.
Don’t ask why i don’t buy sMac books...
Ebay/ gumtree if you’re in london. Look for hp 840 g2 and you must find it.
(Not sure if you are allowed to do this, but it seems like a much better deal than the amazon one)
