Overpriced for such an old model

Still overpriced. Old processor, 4Gb RAM and 500Gb spinning hard disk = cold.

Terrible. This is not a deal.

It's more the build quality and longevity of elite books that make them desirable, similar to the Lenovo x series laptops. Would definitely want to spend another £80 on an SSD and more RAM to conplete the spec.

Oh, now I feel silly

Voted hot btw, not cheaper elsewhere. Does look like a misprice, especially since it's the i7 model.

I use these for work. Great robust laptop. With an ssd they have fantastic battery life. It's not the most powerful processor but that's the point it's optimised for mobile and low power consumption. I've voted hot as it's well priced against elsewhere.

Would have given extra heat for Windows 7 professional. A rare opportunity to get a copy of a spyware free OS

Terrible deal, you can pay less for a bigger screen, better processor, more RAM and a better GPU.

Look out for Dell Inspiron 1559 deals

Amazon have it for £750 also, so not a mis-price but probably a clearance of old stock.

Dell Latitude series are a fairer comparison, not the Inspiron ones. Bear in mind build quality, which is what you tend to get with business machines. They are designed to last a lot longer. Lenovo x220 is a good example. 5 year old ones still run very well and can compete with modern laptops in terms of performance.

No it isn't, just like OS X (and iOS and Android) aren't. Windows update will install some telemetry patches.

Yes and unlike windows x you can just uninstall them and hide the KBs you don't want to install. Look it up...
