Use code SAVE15 to get the price above. Been keeping my eye on this and hopefully it'll be of use to someone. Good specs and size for the money.

Just a side note, this is usually £949

I'd say worth the extra to get the 8th gen processor model. Assume they do one, they certainly do 15" x360 version for just a little more.

Stand corrected. Seems the 17" and 15" (x360 for latter) have gone 8th gen but not the 13" :-(

With 8th gen processors about the cost and benefit is worth deferring 7th gen laptops.

I haven't seen any 8th gen with a dedicated MX150 yet though. And will they come at this price?

I think this is a good deal for the spec and this model is very highly reviewed. I'm seriously considering it as keyboard & build quality are meant to be excellent. I just feel like maybe with the new Zen and Intel CPU variants imminent they may disrupt the market.

I bought this laptop when it first came out. It was nice-ish, but I found build quality lacking. Screen didn't look fantastic to me, and the mouse was awful, the touchpad had so much travel in its casing that when you applied pressure to click, the movement of the touchpad would make a clicking noise (unintentionally) on its own, before you actually did a click (which would also make clicking noise).

I went for store.hp.com/UKS…NTB which is a slightly larger form factor than this Envy (14 vs 13 inch screen), but with the latest gen i5 processor and the slightly older 940MX graphics (this has the older processor, but newer graphics). Apart from the 256 vs 320 GB hard drive, and a smaller battery, I think it is good value at £680 vs £806

Looking for one to play games on any recommendations. J
Doesn't need to be first class. Just enough to run emulator etc
