Actually might be 2TB as that's what listing states. I have recently dealt with Luzerntech via ebay with two refurbished laptops without problems. SVP now have shocking reviews uk.trustpilot.com/rev….uk

Is this GPU any good for gaming? Absolutely not.
Buy the i5 6th gen refurb if they still have it for £299, if you're unfortunate to have bought this laptop instead then press F2 at boot up and do all the diagnostic tests if you want to keep it.

Lmao can you point out an equivalent spec Nvidia powered laptop? No thought not next time try to be a bit more helpful!

Remember these only have a THREE MONTH warranty too upgradeable to 6 months for £25
same processor, graphics card and ram with THIS HP PROBOOK (CLICK ME). 1TB with pro book but brand new with 1 year hp warranty and probook quality, cheaper for £319 and £289 after cashback
How does that compare to this? In terms of CPU and GPU

If you're considering this deal and you're looking at that PC World deal why aren't you considering the i5-6200U deal from SVP at £299? I would imagine you haven't read all of the comments in this thread and therefore missed my comment regarding the £299 deal as being the best, it certainly is the best choice of all three laptops.

Rephrase the word warranty as insurance and you have your answer as to if it's worth £25 or not to you.

As I've advised press F2 at bootup and do all the diagnostics if you buy one of these laptops, the most common failure will be the 2TB HDD, unless you are going to use that much data then £25 saved would go towards an SSD of a much less storage amount.

Irrelevant if you game, non of the GPUs in these laptops could be described as gaming GPUs, they will game at a very basic level. Go for the i5 as it has better power saving features and thus battery life.

Well with the one I can play games Like Batman Arkham City, lego Batman and Just Cause 2 at full settings pretty smoothly. Will struggle with new games of course but for laptop tahts not meant for gaming thats pretty damn good.

No surprise there, they're all 5+ year old games. As I stated the debate is moot as the GPUs are all for basic level gaming. Citing 5+ year old games as proof doesn't make that statement any less correct.

True but again for laptop thats not for gaming its still pretty good it can handle them at all.

No.

According to some people who bought HP Envy with FHD screen, HP states it has IPS screen, they tested and found Envy is actually TN panel.

HP was lying.

At this price, it may be ok. But do not expect the screen to be very good. Envy is a model does not come with good FHD screens.

Colour and view angle are not going to be good, same as any other budget laptop.

Having said that, you cannot find good FHD IPS screen laptops at this price range.

I thought rizzo777 was apologising for the typo/predictive text on his previous comment. He meant to say nvidia instead of in midi. That's how I read it anyway.

Its not that the CPU's have performance issue. The problem is OEM's have limited to output to 15w rather than 35w.
Still a great CPU - It's just not been given the opportunity to flex it's true capabilities.

No reviews so no idea as to the quality of the IPS FHD screen. Rest of the specs is comparatively pants though.

Even cheaper model with IPS FHD for £230 whilst skimping on everything else. These listed are new not refurbished.

Anyone want to risk buying one of these and reviewing it?

Some one pointed out this Medion with IPS FHD at £270 last week to me.

I have not heard any reviews about its screen.

If the screen is good, it is a really good deal. £270 for Pentium N3540, IPS FHD, SSD+HDD, 4GB RAM.

The CPU is not powerful, but is certainly enough for day-to-day tasks. It together with the SSD will make the laptop run smooth. If ever feel need upgrade, increase the RAM to 8GB.

It is only a good deal if the screen is good. Because you could get business laptop with i3-4030u and 128GB SSD for £280, but non-FHD.

I just received mine, I was a bit put off my the bad feedback about svp after I ordered it, but the laptop seems in perfect condition. Not a mark or scratch on it. Loving the screen, even if it's only tft and the led keyboard lighting is cool. I'm hoping this will play diablo 3 ok.
