How do you get the £30 off?
is there a voucher or something?

its showing £30 cashback and 12 months instant ink but no other discounts??
Yes, I couldn't get it to work out any better than that either,
Is the price coming up as £49 ot £79? It is showing £49 for me...

Something odd must be going on as when I first looked at it the printer was £79...seems now to be stable at £49?

Any chance you may have gone to HP via Unidays? It only shows £49 that way for me
No...just went to store but tried a few sites for vouchers etc...couldn't find a code that worked...

Does it show the wording "Benefit store" at the top right corner of the webpage? If so it must have picked up some voucher or employee/student benefit
Can't get this price I'm afraid.
It does! No idea what did that...

Sorry if I've misposted..
Really eager to find out how to make this work. Anyone worked it out yet?
I get that price when I log in the student store
I think it's only for staff and students

My student beans has expired now too
Could I ask how the effective cost is -£11 ? Surely it's £19

Hi OP any chance you can post a list of the sites you visited before the discount came up. They should be in your history. With any luck following them will mean we can get the same.

Many thanks

Go via unidays. Worked for me.
bah! the method of going through unidays in the title or description is required as I just wasted 10 seconds fo my life as the price is £79
Better with the Currys deal, 7 months with any instant ink plan (7 months x top plan at £7.99 = £55.93)
Price for printer is £49 plus £30 cashback. Doesn't show cashback on Currys site, just the 7 months free ink however it does have it on the cashback link.
Of course its only a bargain if you actually make use of all the ink/pages
Is it true that you cannot drop down to the free plan once trial starts, i.e you have top plan for 7 mths and then at the end you cannot gofor the free plan

Can’t you cancel straight away?

Just read the HP site and you can cancel and revert back to purchased cartridges, but your option of 15 pages per month for life of printer on instant ink is no longer available unless you opt for it at start of trial

For anyone interested

thanks, ordered
Is it possible to use cheaper third party ink cartridges on this and similar hp printers?
Sorry guys - I've worked it out. I visited my Bupa healthcare rewards site ( bupa3.xexec.com ) and searched for HP. I was looking for a coupon but it just had a message about discounts which I figured were just generic ones available to everyone. I've tried the process again with Chrome and that's where the price drops (after you login to the Bupa site).

Apologies to anyone who has wasted their time.

I guess I should expire this.
it works with unidays for the same price
doesnt this come with:

HP ENVY Photo 6220 Wireless All-in-One Printer with 12 month Instant Ink Trial Offer

where does the: 12 months instant ink (4 months free + voucher) come from?

I figured 12 months is 12 months, it doesn't mention 4 + voucher anywhere?

This special edition Printer ships with a £32 Instant Ink code which combined with the inclusive 4 months trial will give you a total of 12 months Instant Ink based on the 100 page per month plan.
thanks, so it's really best to sign up to the 100 page offer then? it will just continue with the offer for essentially 12 months?

if you sign up with the 300 page, you'll need to take it down to 100 page at the beginning of the 4th month to make use of the 12 months worth or it will just discount 7.99 per month (i.e. 4 months worth @ 7.99 = £32) i.e. 4 months free + 4 months at 7.99

i hope that makes sense LOL

It is correct - once you are on a paid plan then you can't downgrade to the free plan - see T&Cs:

4. Change or cancel your plan at any time online except that you can't downgrade from a paid plan to the free plan since it is an introductory offer only.
Worked for me just now (bought via unidays) so not sure why expired

Maybe because not many on here, myself included, gave got or can get a unidays account.
Checked this through our Santander discount site and printer is available for £49. Shame that £30 HP cashback is available only on enrolment to Instant Ink and not just for printer purchase as otherwise would have bought it. Already have Instant Ink with printer from September AO deal hence wouldn't get benefit of extending my free ink trial.
Stonking deal, good spot OP!

Worked for me when I signed into hp student store with my .ac.uk email address. Thanks OP
Worked for me using ac.uk address...good spot...can we go for 50 pages per month? Its £1.99/month...so 4 month free and remaining 16 months at 1.99 making (16x1.99 = ~£32)...so using £32 credit over 16 months...
Just had mine delivered for £49.
Story of my ‘HUKD’ life. Buy now think later...

I’ve missed two main factors, it’s a photo printer, we never print photos and secondly the £30 cash back is not on the printer but on the ink trial. Now considering returning it
You ll get £30 cashback on printer..
So the printer cost actually £19 with 12 month ink trial...
