Nice deal mate, thanks for posting
Very good deal.
Would be worth mentioning Ryzen 7 in the title to get more heat IMHO.
Seems an awful lot of money for igpu.

It's integrated but much better than Intel integrated graphics. I think the only downside for me is the noisy fan from memory.

Umm... That one has a smaller drive and a (much) lesser GPU. The CPUs aren't that different, though it depends on the cooling capability - if the HP cools it properly, it should be able to sustain higher frequencies for longer. Oh, and the HP has the 3 year care pack.

I personally would get this one. I have a Spectre and I love it.

I've had Lenovos and they've been good and wanted to buy the 920 on the back of that experience but Lenovo made a right hash of making it generally available so went with HP instead. Not regretted it at all.
Seems ok - review here:- linky

My missus bought a refurb version of this (Ryzen 5 version) and I kinda want one for myself lol. She got it for £440 which in my opinion is a bargain.

This is a great price though! Heat from me!
I have the 15 inch version of this and I love it.
This or the Yoga 730 at £799 from Lenovo?
Are these fixed RAMs or can I expand it? Looking for a deal on a 16GB+ unit for VMs etc.

Yeh thought it was, my Lenovo yoga pro 2 has the same issue and why I am having to change it. Have had it a good 5 years though.

Would have been great if it was expandable. Finally took the plunge and ordered this. Choosing which laptop to buy is an absolute nightmare but this was recommended to me and compared to the 10 year old mid range Dell I’m using I’m hoping to be suitably impressed.

Yeh it is very tempting...
£719 if you have access to the HP student site, fabulous laptop that looks and feels much more expensive.

Is yours Ryzen 7? I’ve seen a few comments online about the noise. Also seen a few comments about issues connecting to 5g WiFi.
Will report back after mine arrives on Monday if I have any issues.

Yes this exact model, unless i put my ear to it i cant hear the fan even in a silent room. Make sure you update all the drivers when you get it or you may have issues. I had wifi disconnects, flashing screen, touchscreen not working correctly. All works perfectly now it's up to date.
If anyone looking for a case for it, this fits perfectly (13.3") and it's really good quality. amazon.co.uk/gp/…h=1

Hopefully they got the thermals sorted then, I really can't put up with the slightest fan noise. My current Huawei Notebook X Pro is silent unless I push it. Lets hope MS Don't drop support for my device!

Maybe I had one with bad thermals then but I have to have zero fan noise when just using Chrome. Tried getting help from HP but they just advised updating BIOS which was on latest version so sent it back.

The fan isn't on when just browsing chrome. When watching a video you have to mute the sound and put your ear to it to hear the fan. You definitely had something wrong or outdated drivers.

Updating drivers helped fan noise significantly. Major problem I have it that it doesn’t switch off when I shutdown windows. Screen goes black but it doesn’t switch off and I have to hold the power button. Not cool

Which after hours of fiddling I’ve solved by turning Windows fast startup off. Stupid computers
It says WLED in the description - does that mean it's an OLED?

No, WLED is just the same as LED but that extra letter is chucked in to make it sound fancier.

Came back to look as I was going to recommend it to someone
Mine arrived few days ago. It's a lot o wow effect.
Firstly, it's not fHD screen, but UHD - 4k. Therefore, it's glossy, not matte as the fHD is. I almost feel like I'd rather get the matte one, but this screen is soooo nice! Reflections do p*ss me off, but the quality and brightness add more value to it, than matte screen would. All in all, I probably wouldn't replace it with fHD glossy one.
Fan is not at all noisy - comparing to Probooks I see everyday it's nothing.
It's surprisingly powerful - run WoT Encore test on it and it was 6.5k (meduim), way more than for ex. Intel based Probook 440 G6 (only got 4k something - simple).
It's tiny and light, but well built and finished. Found one a bit sharp edge though - not a biggy, yet still. All metal casing makes very good impression and seems durable.
Doesn't get very hot over the benchmarking time, but I didn't try playing on it for longer. It's not a gaming laptop anyway - it's a surprisingly powerful and useful hybrid.
I usually go for Elitebooks when it comes to HP, but this Envy thing really surprised me in a very positive way.
It also got HP 3 Year Care Pack with Pickup and Return Service included, which costs 99 quid separately.
Heck of a good deal it was!

Erm, it’s definitely not a 4K screen. Definitely 1920x1080 and definitely glossy.
It definitely is 4k and glossy - I know what's standing in front of my face. Want the pictures?
Would need to check if it really is ag0003na I received.
According to HP documentation, fHD one should be matt. Specs sheet says there are 3 options: HD glossy, fHD matte (they have their own name for it) and UHD glossy.
Did you get fHD one? Check the settings by default it's set up to recommended fHD and I had to set 4k manually.

You cannot buy an envy x360 with a 4K screen here. No such device exists on the HP website. Your model number is written on the bottom of the laptop. If you’re saying you can change your display resolution to 3840 x 2160 you have a £1800 Spectre.
