I e owned this laptop for a year, paid £1100 for it.

It's awesome and is my daily workhorse for both heavy networking and programming and used every evening for pleasure and general home usage.

Never gone wrong once. Battery is still as good as it was new, doesn't overheat and hasn't slowed with age.

Only negative is it's a bit on the heavy side and I would recommend using on a solid surface due to location of air flow paths.

Bargain for this price!!

I have the cp-0000na version of this model, and would say the series is a great series with the Ryzen chip.
Yup got this too with the Ryzen 7 and a 512Gb SSD. Great laptop. Love the ability to play a movie in tent mode. Much easier when flying.

Battery won't last as long as stated. I think in a low power mode with just word, excel and outlook running I can stretch it to maybe 6hrs.

I saw one of these in an airport Dixons and I think it was £599 so worth checking if travelling.

Likewise, bought last year from John Lewis, with a stylus and 1TB HDD on top. Great piece of hardware.
The ram upgradeable?
Would this be powerful enough to run Photoshop smoothly?
I haven't owned a pc/laptop for years, so out of touch with current specs.

I've got that model too, currently manage to hit 10 hours on a regular basis and i have an external power bank to add another 2-3 hours in a pinch
Be careful with these if you're looking to ever upgrade ram.

Some of the variants in this line can be & some can't (soldered ram).

May even be the case for the ssd's.

Not sure if this particular one can or not - just trying to give fellow members a heads up.

I have to say - generally good feedback on this line of HP laptops thus far.

Hmmm, wonder what I'm doing wrong. I'll maybe run it with wifi off and loop a video and see what I get. Yeah I got a Zendure PD powerbank that helps.

Also highly recommend the Asus ZenScreen 15.6" display for the days when your eyes are struggling to see the small screen . Runs off the USB C port.

Yes, also for video editing.

Why would you need a 15" external display to replace a 15" laptop screen?
These 15" models have a display that is only about half the brightness of the 13" model
This (or a similar 13" version) or a Surface Pro 7?
Seriously bruh i paid that much for the 13" version this is superb price

Yeah, should be upgradable to 32gb.

Have you been into the HP power profile utility app, i often run in 'quiet' mode.

Just the opposite - it isn't. Module is soldered to the board and there is no option to add more. At least my 13.3 version isn't - guessing it's the same here.

Within the same series, for different sizes - it varies.

On some you can - some you can't.

Have to check the manual.

My mate bought this for £699 from PC World/Currys/Carphone Warehouse just b4 Black Friday.

The ssd is blisteringly fast,I turned it on and Windoze loaded in like about 3 seconds!!

You're right tho,it is a little bit on the heavy side but good laptop nonetheless.

PC World/Currys/Carphone Warehouse also only gave one year warranty.
I am so tempted to get this, do you reckon Currys would do a price match on this?
care pack now extra £99
