I bought this laptop for my wife in November for £650 and it's been fantastic. Very nice quality at a good price as long as you don't need a lot of storage. For general browsing, office tasks, presentations etc it's perfect. If you're gaming or wanting to store lots of photos, music or videos, you'll want something else.

I've seen reviews claim it's noisy or other complaints, but my wife's is virtually silent with great performance and battery life. Lovely full HD touchscreen in a small footprint.

Other ranges like HP Pavilion will offer similar specs for less, but aren't as sleek or nice a finish. This is an entry premium level, compact laptop for less than £650.

Deal available on a range of laptops so if this isn't for you, you might find something more appropriate. I can only comment on the model we bought.

It's not a bad spec, but it's not the best price, it's been £600 quite a few times in the past, I got the 15 inch version with better ram and more storage for £650 back in January.

Worth nothing it's non expandable single channel ram with these, and it can only take one of the small ssds
Is HP build quality good enough to risk £650 on a convertble?
Or will it break or begin to fall apart at Warranty + 1 month?

Was this £600 on the HP store? I started looking around in September/October and it's been at £699 on the HP Store every time I've looked except for Black Friday. We bought ours from Amazon at £649 and the price has been as low as £649 or £640 if you include marketplace sellers according to camelcamelcamel.

The build quality on this model is very good. The Pavilion range is certainly built to a price and best avoided IMO, but there's nothing wrong with the build quality on this laptop. Hinges are solid and smooth. Material quality is fantastic and compares favourably with more expensive laptops.

I had mine convertible for over 2 years and quite a heavy use as used by me and my wife..Wish it had proper graphics card, but still can play older games without problems. Thin, light and build quality is superb tbh
