This was £999 2 days ago and similar machine is still £999 on Currys. The currys one has 128 ssd plus 1tb HD but ithis one is 256 nvme so will be faster. Main point here is the 4gb MX150. Not sure the extra 2gb will make much of a difference with the bandwidth of the card but your still looking at GTX 950M performance in a 2 in one. And there is a free 2.5" slot on this one I believe.

Says 4gb ram?

Yeah it's John Lewis they screwed up specs. The specs I posted are from HP on model number:

support.hp.com/in-…128

John Lewis may not even know what they are selling here

its for sure this model, I rang JL on Saturday trying to get a price match with Currys because they had 10% off then and I thought JL would do it for me for 899 but they'd said even though it was same machine their SSD was better so couldn't price match. 2 days later they drop it down even lowe

I've got one of the x360 and there is a design fault with the hinges. I've had it repaired once and I just contacted them for a second repair on the hinges. It either has bits that break off internally and go into the fan or the front of the screen peels off from the back panel.

You have been warned. Please google it.
Amazon have price matched....but they are also saying it also has only 4Gb of RAM

OP has quoted from HP website but HP also say:
Equipped with an 8th Gen Intel® Core™ i processor, NVIDIA® GeForce™ GTX MX150, up to 16 GB RAM, and up to 10 hours of battery life2. Be prepared to transcend what you can accomplish on a laptop.

The important words being "up to"

7th generation i5 is about 40% slower because it has 2 cores/4 threads versus 4 cores/8 threads on the 8th gen
