HP ENVY x360 13-ar0001na Convertible Laptop,

8GB RAM,
256GB SSD,
13.3", Full HD,
Nightfall Black

Created with an AMD Ryzen 5 processor, 8GB RAM and a 256GB Solid State Drive, the stylish HP ENVY x360 provides versatility as well as portability. The handy convertible option allows you to use the device in either tent, tablet or standard laptop mode.

AMD Ryzen 5
With an AMD Ryzen 5 processor, you'll easily handle day-to-day tasks like word processing, image editing, web browsing and some casual gaming.

What is RAM?
RAM (Random Access Memory) is different to the permanent storage provided by hard disk drives (HDD), solid state drives (SSD) or memory cards in your equipment. RAM is used by your device to temporarily store data to carry out everyday operations. The more RAM your machine has, the faster you can expect it to open and run programs.

A good performer
Featuring 8GB of RAM, this computer has enough power for casual tasks like web browsing and word processing as well as more demanding jobs like complex spread sheets and image manipulation. You'll be able to run a healthy number of windows at once without any obvious lag or slowdown.

Solid State Drive
Solid State Drives (SSD) give you the capacity to store your documents and media, while ensuring quicker and reliable access to your files and programs. SSDs are far faster than regular hard drives and ingeniously, they don't use moving parts to work, which makes them far more dependable and also quieter.

Radeon Vega 8 graphics
AMD's Radeon Vega 8 graphics processing unit (GPU) will enable you to enjoy a number of classic older games, along with some casual (web-based) gaming. You may be able to run more modern titles with reduced effects and frame rates.

Great entertainment
Thanks to its 13.3”, Full HD convertible touch screen, viewing your high-resolution photos, films and videos will be a pleasure. It has been designed to convey immersive images and it makes for a great casual gaming and multimedia experience, no matter if used in tent, tablet or standard laptop mode.

Connecting your other devices
The USB ports allow for fast data transfer, whilst the included HDMI port adapter enables the option for large screen presentations. The SD card slot offers a convenient way to upload your photos and videos. Additionally, Bluetooth can help to send data wirelessly between devices.

Screen beam
Miracast technology enables you to project your device’s screen onto your Miracast enabled television.

To enable Miracast functionality, press the Windows button + P (at the same time) on your keyboard and then click on ‘Connect to a wireless display’.

This is a great way to view pictures or websites on a larger screen, however please note: your videos might stutter or suffer with lag.

I think I'd take the extra warranty over the easy payments but good choice tho
NB limited stock
This doesn't seem like great value at £300 more than the Lenovo 330s with an otherwise identical spec - so the Envy has a nicer chassis and convertible touchscreen, but I guess only the user can decide if that's worth the money to them or not. Also this model is known for thermal throttling, not surprising given it's a 13" display in a thin and light chassis.
For that sort of money are you not just better off with a laptop with better cooling plus a GPU?
