hey dont forget 3% quico too:thumbsup:

Not good to be honest. The processor is woefully outdated, the speed of the ram is not given and there appears to be no graphics card of merit.

Its £400. For this money you should look for something decent.

its OK, but you should be able to get a better spec laptop for similar price.

Yes but for £200 off it looks good!!!

No way it was ever £599, however saying that it is one of the best deals on the High Street at the moment. Really don't need a seperate graphics adaptor unless you want to play games, again the processor doesnt matter unless you are crunching a lot of data or word processing.

Seems to be three price points for laptops £350 entry level celeron. £400 Dual Core but basic and then £450 or over, then you can go mad and have what you want. ;-)

i know you can pick up machines with faster processors, but generally these will be amd.

For a laptop with an intel chip, this is a good machine.

Anyway i have one and its pretty decent to me.

You want to buy my sweet wrapper for £2,000? Its amazing value as i've taken £8000 of the price that I was originally selling it at.

Thats 80% off...

I had one of these delivered on Monday, superb machine for the Money. I was looking for a Tosh but for similar spec they were £450+
Thankfully I managed to get it from Currys with free del & using code 5INTEGRATED for 5% discount. After cashback cost was £366 delivered. I agree they are not worth anywhere near £599 but IMO at £366 it was the best buy around for a budget laptop this New Year.

I wouldn't worry about the processor speed for word processing. Dtp perhaps.

Can you reccomend anything?

Got this a few weeks back after my Toshiba L300 packed up on me twice in one year! So far so good, no complaints here and running ten times better than my Toshiba ever did!

I am a big Tosh fan but we have a L300 I am not over impressed with, had it 6 months just ordered a new PSU for it and mouse left button is not great. Would take this HP anyday over the L300, Thankfully I got the L300 very cheap, paid me cashback twice and undercharged me, so actual cost was about £250.
