Not bad; CPU is a bit slow but it has an HDMI socket.

You're probably not aware of the DELL XPS M1330, for which they had to extend the warranty, as the overheating killed the graphics card.

HP 15.6" LED/4GB/HDMI laptop for £322 and Tesco Clubcard Points as ordered on Tesco CC
giving me extra protection should it burn on me but I know several with HPs without such problems

Not a powerhouse but I could not find better @ £300ish certainly not with 4gb mem and hdmi
Only worry is shared gfx but i can DSR refund in dixons on high street if that or anything else annoys me but it won't be used for games.

Currys and PC World have this on as well but no 10% off code which is a shame unless they do but I can't find it, otherwise Dixons is still cheapest

I'll still be keeping dsr in mind in qwwk though should something better come up in the mean time

I was considering cancelling my HP G62-b28SA order @ £328 for the OPs HP G62-b50SA this :

WPrime1024 Benchmarks from notebookcheck.net
£328 HP HP G62-b28SA AMD as I detail above:
AMD Athlon™ II X2 P340 WPrime 1024= 1108

OPs Laptop CPU:
Intel Corei3 350M = WPrime 1024= 923

Higher number the better)

It would seem for £60 more on the ops instead of:

Musicrab's:
dixons.co.uk/gbu…tml
Which I got for £328

You get HD dedicated graphics (seen3 year old integrated intel gfx do HD video fine) and more graphics memory from shared RAM (would only benefit games ime)

Seems to me of the two laptops £60 buys you very little improvement on OPs laptop vs:
dixons.co.uk/gbu…tml

Also I expected intel to kicks AMD's ****, seems £50ish is the premium for going Intel over AMD, and at this price points with no real tangible benefit.

Well, I got Dell N5010 with 4GB ram, i5, 500gb and HDMI for 325 from Dell outlet. Came brand new.

Sure Dell outlet is not for everone, but I wouldn't touch HP with a stick after failures I had with older models and they are a lot better build then laptops these days.

Forgot to mention that last time I ordered lappy from Dixons group they didn't even bother to inform me that they are out of stock and will not delivered. Kept money for 2 weeks as well.

Maybe a good price but huge NO for me

experienced this with my dads laptop

I had problems with my HP laptop over heating (i bought it 2 and a half years ago) and so have many other people who have asked me to look at their faulty HP laptops (I work in IT) - that was down to using just one fan to cool both the CPU and graphics card - hopefully things have moved on now and HP laptop design is better, but I couldn't confirm that.

You can't use DSR to return a used opened product that is fully functional. It's for unopened unused ones.

Prices change each day as new units are added each day. You have to look out each day around 3:15pm

Not true. The idea of the DSR is so you can briefly test it to make sure it meets your needs and if not return in a re-saleable condition. The whole idea is the the DSR exists because you cannot visually inspect an item over the internet!

Don't believe me? Check - direct.gov.uk/en/…048

I've had my HP for 4 1/2 years and it's still going well (although I did have to replace the battery). HP sell a lot of laptops, IT technicians will see more HP laptops than any other but that's because they're selling more than other companies (in 2008 at least). I would/will buy HP again (if only the Envy came with a higher resolution screen).

Is it working now? The discount doesn't seem to be working.

i bought a dell i5 XPS from dell outlet 3 weeks ago just £383 after quidco-ed

Absolutely WRONG, you can return ANY opened and working electronics product (and many types of other barring some exceptions) as long as its been purchased online. Do people not check anything they post here before they start typing?
