very hot reduced £200

cold as vista is a steaming turd of slowness and unreliability. big pockets have a similar spec machine for little more retro-fitted with the more reliable, faster and less memory hungry XP pro.

the acer ones i posted earlier were cheaper and this one doenst even have hdmi output too.

Sorry I had to edit your description did not acutally justify why this is actually a very good deal and should be voted hot.

Can not say that i have seen a laptop that has a 17" screen, dedicated graphics, pretty good processor, as much RAM as you can use on 32bit OS, a blu-ray rewriter and from a qualitly brand for under £500

andiejn if you think this is a cold deal please find another one that has this spec for this price with whatever OS you want. Vista has a bad reputation but it was that is simply not justifed anymore.

the hp does have a HDMI port, the acer you posted is also a pretty good deal but there is massive difference in the quality of HP and acer machines and I know this is £50 more but if people can afford it would definatly pay the extra £50 as it is worth it. As i always say acers are good until they go wrong (and they do have a habbit of going wrong in the 2nd year) and then there customer services is generally very very poor while hp is generally very very good

also although i am actually saying this is a good deal the hp website themself actually have this machine listed at £488. h10010.www1.hp.com/wwp…KEN
