Hmmm, not sure I would pay £300 for a laptop with only 4GB of RAM and a titchy hard drive like this one....
Is this ips? From the description it doesn't look like it unless I'm wrong.

At this price point you’re nearly always making some kind of compromise either on the processor, ram, ssd or screen.

The nearest competitor is the Argos Lenovo S340 with 256 ssd, 8 ram and ryzen 5 but is a TN panel, for £349

I personally wouldn’t buy this but it is quite adequate for day to day surfing and so on. The price is ok.
OMG LOOK AT THE RESOLUTION
Probably better to spend £150-200 on an ex-business laptop from the likes of ITZoo if you don't particularly need a new machine. The spec is pretty woeful for anything except basic Office, browsing & email.

Agreed irabbs. SVA usually means TN when talking about HP laptops. Cold from me.
Why are these items getting heats with only 4GB of ram?

Because there are lots of people who don't need more. My laptop has 4gb ram and it is more than reasonable. True, more the better but why spend more if you don't need to do it. But I agree, for slightly more money you get 8gb ram and this is not necessary a bargain IMO but not a bad price either.

4gb ram, TN screen, not full HD, plastic body = poor poor deal.
Title needs updating, this is not ips and is frankly a terrible deal

Because its usually trivial to upgrade this sort of stuff unless its on-chip, I guess.

What makes me laugh is people who instantly get hurt about TN panels when they are usually OK in person - Not to say bad ones don't exist. The resolution on this is the low point for me though on this.
