How can it be a better deal? An Inkjet is not the same as a laser and will cost more in the long run!

Purchased this from amazon for £213 with £100 cashback. Amazon is now £226 so not a bad deal for a great multifunction printer!
I've had this fo a couple of years now. Great, compact, printer and supplies on eBay are reasonable. Hot price.

If only I had a time machine
Cheapest compatible I can see are around £150 for a set that will do 2500 pages. 6p a page isn't bad but nor is it particularly cheap.

so sorry mate. I must've been logged in hp student store.
It takes a while for Laserjet compatibles to go down in price. The printer has only been out a few months

I used to sell toners, the compats depending on printer model used to cost us 10-20 quid for Xinia branded remans and you would still them for up to 100 quid each. Originals used to cost us just over 50 quid for the most common hp toners.
Does the printer come with a full set of toners?

Does the printer come with a full set of toners?

Set of toners: yes but only the lower capacity ones.

From the HP website:

Introductory HP LaserJet Colour cartridges (700 pages colour composite (C/Y/M) and 1,400 pages black)

The Ebuyer website description claims up to 1300 pages for each of the colours.

Bearing in mind that compatible toners can invalidate the warranty in years 2 and 3.

My Dell 1320c is still going strong and compatibles cost me a fiver each and last 2,500 pages!

I don't think I have ever seen a new laser printer that is supplied without any toners at all.

More than likely it will record the use of non originals in its memory

I have a Dell laser which cost me £179 and a full set of cartridges were a tenner. I have had it for about 3 years and I am still on my first set of compatibles. £150 for compatibles sounds like a lot of money to me.

I recently binned my 1320C. Nothing wrong with it but I needed to replace the cartridges and bought the HP8725 with 3000 pages ink offer plus 3 years warrant for £70 net. I also got 3 free months of ink with their cartridge scheme. That made it virtually cost neutral but what swung it for me was the Multifunction features. Near broke my heart throwing the 1320C away.

Sadly my 1320c is starting to produce erratic results. I've changed the toner but I'm still getting faded prints. I suspect the drum is on its way out so maybe something like this HP will be my next purchase. A real shame as I loved my Dell laser - and loved the cost of replacement toners just as much! lol

Unless they work for HP's research and development team, they definitely haven't. Probably an older model that looks the same

Where did you get it for that price? Sounds great! I'm looking to get one as the ink jet printer is costing us a fortune. Thanks
Sorry for the basic question. Do these laser colour printers need the entire set of thingies replaced. Toners and cartridges. Costing around 150? How long do these last if replaced.

Mine came pretty quickly after I provided HP with a proper invoice from Currys.

Yep, my 1250c also. I'd like the copy/scan facility but the cost of replacement toners is pretty off-putting against the £15 for a full set i can get for me Dell.
Thanks OP, just bought one....vowed to never buy HP again after my 18 month old A3 printer with barely any use gave up....but this price is a steal to not have to deal with ink carts

Make sure you sign up for the free 3 years warranty with HP. At least you should get double the life of your previous one
Thanks again OP, ordered from amazon instead as it could deliver on the weekend and was only £10 more all up as no TCB / Quidco. Seems a lovely printer so far, except for some reason ALL bloody HP printers refuse to print in colour from my laptop! Ah well! (Works fine in colour from other devices)
Replacement cartridges for £150 sounds like hell of lot of money. I need a new printer but debating whether to get hp inkjet with about 12 month free ink or this laser jet. Just the replacement cost scares me.
