good price and the toner is pretty cheap as well

I picked one of these up when Comet were closing. Decent wee printer, ebay toner is cheap and also works fine with AirPrint too.

I looked at another printer on their site (a dell) and had q - a is this capable of duplex printing ? a yes this is capable of manual duplex printing! .. rofl ..

Good price. As an alternative, Amazon have a wireless Samsung that prints 1200 x 1200 as a Black Friday deal for the same price today - bought one earlier in the week.

Awesome printer and excellent price

link?

just looked on HP site and looks like you need an extra card to enable the wifi facilty on this model ... can anyone confirm this? Ta!

This does not have wifi/airprint out of the box. We've used this model for years in our small business as the toners are as little as £8 on Amazon and they dont have a drum that needs replacing so very cheap to run.

I think the HP P1102 is not WIFI-enabled but the HP P1102W is. Unfortunately it's £69.99 on the Argos site.

The black one with W on the end of the part number is wireless and has 8MB of RAM. This is USB only with 2MB of RAM so you would need a USB print server if you want to use wireless or wired Ethernet with it. Argos's description is wrong unless they send the P1102W.

Thanks all! Possibly not such a bargain for me then, as already have an older wired model (which is a good old work horse!), it was the wifi that attracted me.

Wireless/WiFi enabled.
Apple AirPrint.
Mobile print enables printing direct from your smartphone or tablet through brand specific apps.

As stated above it looks like the description is wrong for this printer.

Canon equivalent LBP6030B (non Wi-Fi) is @ £39.99.

If this is the HP1102 then it doesn't have Wi-Fi or Duplex.

..are you refering to original toners?

I bought this one instead: hotukdeals.com/dea…670
Same price, but can print colour as well!

I can confirm that I just had the HP1102 delivered and it is not Wi-Fi out of the box. Argos information is misleading but to be fair to them the HP website does not help as it clearly says Wi-Fi fuctionality in the main description until you read the small print which says only the HP1102W has this. The tech description for this model says Wi-Fi only optional, when enabled with the purchase of a hardware accessory. Very misleading its being returned ASAP.

so what you guys are saying its not wifi enabled?? I reserved one yesterday as I need the airprint thingy

i just bought one as a Christmas present on the basis it was wifi enabled - thats what the blurb says - will be cheesed off as i had to drive to argos to pick it up

I have the P1102W which is the wifi version.

According to the HP website page on P1102 spec it says;

"[2] Wireless printing only available on the P1102w. Wireless performance is dependent upon physical environment and distance from access point."

Don't bother Argos will just say it is a misprint

No, compatables. Weve used them for years and churn out 2000 pages per week. We have had to replace the pickup foot twice but they can be had for around £6 on ebay.

Just checked the box - no wifi - its going back

I've checked the small print on HP website, it's NOT wireless or even networked. Only USB printing is available. the HP P1102w is wireless
