Right, printer arrived & sent in claim.

Did not have to open the sealed box, as all the details you need (including serial number) is on a label on the outer printer box itself.

Just after printer was delivered, Viking emailed me a link to the invoice. All I had to do was follow the link & download the PDF invoice, then upload it during the HP claim process. I did not answer the optional questions about why I bought the printer, as I thought it may go against me no matter what answer I selected.

Once you've entered & submitted all the necessary details, a claim reference number is displayed (took a screenshot). Then soon after, received a claim confirmation email from HP with the same.

Now, sitting & praying

Pretty sure these are £49.99 at Office Outlet. Effectively making the printer free 😁😁
Good deal though.

quote from HP T+C cashback
"The offer is valid only in the UK and Northern Ireland for private end users and business customers. This offer may not be combined with any other promotional offers or special pricing offered on the qualifying products."
does using the 2bhforgotten invalidate your cash back???
Its still worth it as even buying a new toner for my existing printer would be £10++

Very Intresting comment. Does anyone knows if using the voucher code invalidate HP Claim as suggested by this user? Does anyone has similar experiences?

This is why I didn't look any further, it's almost certain that Viking are applying for the voucher themselves, hence you get £50 off. I don't think it's a coincidence they're both £50 discounts.

Currys are running similar cashback offers on HP Printers. When I called them to ask I had a voucher code for currys will it affect my cashback I was told YES because this offer cannot be combined with another offer clause.
Rest we will find out when we actually submit a claim to HP. I have ordered mine without using voucher code cannot risk £50 for £5 discount

Looks a great deal, but don't retailers usually indicate on their site when a cashback from the maker is available ie claim £x via this link?

Thanks, notified Amazon of the lower price and I'm hoping they'll match it and then refund me the difference on the one I ordered.

Long shot, I know

Usually to promote and market their products. Cant see any hurdle otherwise

Quidco are giving 11% for next few days, that's worth a £5 if it pays maybe that solves the voucher problem?

I bought last time Hp office jet 8718 in clearance promotion £59.99 with extra £10 discount from pc world I already made successful Cash back from hp £20

Ive looked at the T&C and AFAICT as long as you fulfill the terms they will pay out. They paid out quite easily and quickly for microserver so I'm hoping they should be just as good this time.
VIKING cannot claim the voucher/s as that is against the terms and would be obvious
I ordered without extra 5 discount JIC.

Does anyone know if the cashback and everything works?

I too decided to go without the voucher code but went through Quidco for the %11. I'm surprised the deal's not hotter!

I went without Voucher. Quidco cashback for 5.50 already tracked.

Bought one but I'm a bit worried by T&C #3:

Proof of order or dispatch note will not be accepted. The sellers invoice must clearly show the customer details, HP part code of the qualifying products purchased, the purchase price and the date of purchase

as there doesn't seem to be a proper invoice (yet) and the order does not show the HP part code (G3Q35A).

If they don't honour the £50 cashback for whatever reason, I'll be returning mine unopened.

Looks like returns are free?

How do I return an item? officedepot-uk.custhelp.com/app…799

"If an item does not meet your needs, you can return it within 30 days of receipt. Please contact our customer service to arrange this and reorder an alternative if required.

Please note: At the time of collection the driver will have a returns label. You do not need to add an address to the return package."

The old Amazon would have the shitty let's screw the customer Amazon of today it's a very long shot.

Did you pay by credit card...time was when the credit card companies would deal with post purchase price drop issues with retailers for you but not sure if they still do.

I bought an HP laptop a couple of years ago with a similiar claim back from HP via the Co-op,took a couple of phone calls to remedy the code on the invoice, then cashback paid out OK

First step will be to see if they drop the price as I'm not sure they're bothered about Viking direct.

I'm still pondering wether to return and get it from Viking instead, but I'm not sure it's worth the hassle. Ironically I'd need a printer for the return label

Whattt? For real. Without a list of authorised retailers (is there one?) it is fairly obvious one would deduce that the largest retailer in the UK would be included, very dishonest of hp.

If that's true than it's definitely going back as the cashback was the only reason I bought it.

Thanks for the heads up. I'm on the way to work and can't confirm it, but if someone has the chance please post here.

There is a list but it only has three retailers: Currys, Argos and John Lewis!!

I think you have enough time to wait for the confirmation or decline message from HP after you send in your request; according to T.C. page seven calendar days. Viking appears to have a 30-day return policy, Amazon might have two weeks. I checked things as carefully as I could cause I don't want the printer without the cashback either.

Now on back order from Viking
