been looking for a new printer could not decide between laser and inkjet. found this amazon.co.uk/gp/…8-1 . allows a3 prints and a3 scans. no duplex as standard but an add on can be purchased.

HP are offering £40 cash back. www8.hp.com/uk/…tml . even though Amazon lead time is 2 to 3 week it will still be delivered in.time to claim.

inks are are well priced too. a xl colour cart with a yeild of 850 pages is £10 a a black with yeild of 1200 is about £28. these are genuine inks as well.

love the fact its a3 and can scan a3 as well.

should of mentioned this has full wireless and internet connectivity. also allows printing from tablets and smart phones.

Thanks. Been looking to upgrade my hp1125 for a while :-)

Thanks for this, I've been looking to upgrade to an All-in-One printer with e-print for a while now. With this being A3 also I've decided it's worth the little extra and just purchased one :-)

Thank you....Just ordered....Heat added...

these are around £180+ else where

Seem to remember duplex printing either not being available or requiring additional spend to get it working - something you may want to look into.

Useful to be able to scan A3 yes, but what use does anyone have for A3, ok you can print two A4 but paper's a lot more expensive.

Posters?

I have no experience with this printer but when I was looking at A3 printers for a relative, I found that Brother printers seemed to have better reviews than HP. e.g. amazon.co.uk/gp/…4K8 versus amazon.co.uk/HP-…1I/

Very subjective and limited evidence, but it's worth looking around at the choices. A3 sounds awesome for a home printer, but there are several options out there now

Depends on your profession/your hobbies. Try working from technical drawings printed on A4 paper - it's not fun. A4 is letter paper really. For art and design uses, A3 is a much better size to work with.

back to £193

Still £138 if you look down right hand side.

I bought the brother for my daughters college work. She has to do alot of posters. You can get very cheap ink and prints very fast.

Us teachers find them pretty handy for resources, scanning books etc.

been looking at the brothers. the inks seemed a bit expensive and the support for tablets didn't seem as good.

that's why I stated that in original post. duplex would be nice but not essential. not sure how good duplex would be in a inkjet if the ink was still wet when it went back through

I print alot of CAD drawings so A3 is a necessity, can't justify spending £100 on one at the moment though
Struggling to find any A3 printers around the £50 mark...

Thank you for sharing this deal!

Got the older model 7500A way back in 2011 on Staples deal with £60 cashback from HP, still working.

Never bought any of the original ink cartridge, put a CIS (continuous ink supply) system which still serving its purpose.

Here is a video link of the CIS in action and the best use of A3 90 GSM paper.

Did have to change the print head unit ones (got one from ebay for £25) after 2500 A4 and 300 A3 pages.

So was wondering if I should get the new model now that HP finally decided to put one out.

Any major improvement or function added which might warrant a upgrade?

The old model didn't had auto duplex do the new model have it?

Thank you for posting this, was hoping that there would be a good deal available and this is perfect for me.

Being delivered tomorrow, 2-3 week lead time is amazons usual cautious estimate.
