Is the ink unlimited? I print a lot of resources at home for school as they can't afford colour printing (don't get me started...) Would this be a viable alternative to my epson and ebay cartridges? Thanks

A 500 print is £3.99 I think but check online .just type HP instant ink
I bought the 9010 version £99 with cash back .£40 or a recycle £60 so i think the price is expensive
It's on the HP lists as being eligible for a £50 cashback too...

h41201.www4.hp.com/WMC…rt/

(Not ebuyer any more, seems Amazon have matched the price and ebuyer up to £160+)
instant ink do a free plan as standard, 15 pages a month i think
Looking at the terms on the HP store the free months are capped at the 100 page level. They must have cottoned on to people upgrading to the 700 page level after registering for free months.
Tagged as Amazon?!

When did u buy that
On the Irish hp site they have it listed worded as upto 2 years of instant ink, then in the small print says it comes with a pre paid voucher which even added to your account the value will give you 2 years 100 pages a month.
Any one know of its the same here?

The short answer is Yes. I print a fair bit of coloured models off for wargames e.g. 39979740-xNEJA.jpgWhich is a full A4 page of almost solid colour which costs ~2.5p on the £7.99 300 page a month plan. I dread to think how much it would cost if I was buying ink cartridges.

Thanks for the reply. I suppose another question is: is the 2 years instant ink unlimited - can I print as much as I want for free over the 2 years? Thanks

Unlikely. The last one of these I bought had a cash value on it that I could print up to. At the low end, 100 pages, per month it did last me almost 2 years. The only way to find out is if someone who has bought this deal says what was in the package when it turns up.

What's the price like on that for the ink? If it's ok (I don't print much), which model did you but? Thanks.

Epson xp335
Ink on amazon non genuine for all colours was about 12£
There is no need to buy genuine ink because it is just as good! We print a lot but the ink still lasts longer than hp.
Canon are good as well.
I will never buy hp again including laptops...

Your instant ink account, which you must register within a set period of the purchase, will be credited with £120. Depending on the plan you choose, that surplus wil decrease each month. If you opt for the 100 page subscription, the credit will be exhausted after 20 months, but a more expensive package will use up the credit sooner.

I think this is a timely deal in the context of there being a high liklihood I will have to work from home given the current state of affairs.

If you purchase via Topcashback from Amazon, there is also the potential of a small amount, (2%) cashback excluding the VAT.

I've got 4 months left on instant ink (700 pages). They just gave me 12 months of the 700 pages, not a credit amount to use.

Has it changed then?

By your calculation above, the £120 would actually be exhausted in just over 34 months. It's £3.49 per month.

Also, what is the time limit to register the instant ink subscription?

My mistake, it is Euros rather than pounds that are credited.

The link from the HP website for this model is here:

store.hp.com/UKS…PRN

The terms and conditions of the instant ink 20 month offer are:

"The terms and conditions
[2] Requires online enrolment and creation of an HP Connected and Instant Ink account, email address, and internet connection to the printer. Upon purchase, your printer comes with € 120 prepaid value that will be added to your HP Instant Ink account balance. The pre-paid value could cover up to 24 months of Instant Ink service on a monthly 100 pages Instant Ink plan (4.99). Other plans available may shorten or lengthen your offer period. After you have successfully registered your printer and created your HP Connected Account and Instant Ink Account, you must redeem your offer and select an Instant Ink printing plan. You must redeem your prepaid value offer within 6 months from printer set up or it will expire. The Service begins when the offer is redeemed. Overage fees will be debited to your prepaid value card and may shorten your offer period. For more details, see: 2YearsInk.HPInstantInk.com", [emphasis added].

I didn't see the 6 months thinggy though. Cheers for that.

This will do me nicely and get my boys through college.
